''Arrivano i dollari!'' (i. e. "The dollars are coming!") is a 1957 Italian comedy film directed by Mario Costa and starring Alberto Sordi, Nino Taranto and Isa Miranda. Mario Riva
Mario Riva (26 January 1913 – 1 September 1960) was an Italian television presenter and actor. He appeared in 51 films between 1941 and 1960. Life and career Born in Rome as Mariuccio Bonavolontà, the son of a composer, Giuseppe (Joseph) Bonavolonta (b.1885) and his wife Teresa Chinzari. His father composed over 500 popular tunes including "Goodbye Nemi" and "Fiocca Snow". Mario attended St Joseph College in Piazza di Spagna in Rome. Riva debuted at young age as a dubber and a radio actor. His film debut was in 1941 in ''Due cuori sotto sequestro'' (''Two Hearts Seized''). He became first known as presenter of the stage show ''Clan'' (1942). After a long season of successes on stage (often in couple with Riccardo Billi) Riva reached the peak of his career with the RAI variety television ''Il Musichiere'' (1957-1960) (the Italian version of Name That Tune). Natale Cirino (5 February 1894 – 29 May 1962) was an Italian stage and film actor. Life and career Born in Catania, Cirino started his career entering the most important theatrical companies active in Sicily (including the ones held by Turi Pandolfini, Michele Abruzzo, Rosina Anselmi and Giovanni Grasso) before forming his own stage company in 1928. Rosita Pisano
Rosa Pisano (15 October 1919 – 24 December 1975) was an Italian stage, film and television actress. Life and career Pisano was born in Naples, into a family of dialect theatre actors. She debuted on stage as a child actress in her family company, and later entered the stage company of Eduardo and Peppino De Filippo. After the war and after the dissolution of the company she continued working with Eduardo De Filippo, and starting from the 1950s with other companies, notably the one held by Nino Taranto. Ignazio Balsamo (25 October 1912 – 7 August 1994) was an Italian film and stage actor. Life and career Born in Catania, Balsamo began his career on stage, being part of several Sicilian language theatrical companies. Discovered by Pietro Germi, who offered him a role of weight in the film '' In the Name of the Law'', following the success of the film Balsamo moved to Rome where he had a long film career as a character actor, mainly cast in roles of Sicilian criminals and villains. Turi Pandolfini (1 November 1883 – 6 March 1962) was an Italian stage and film character actor. He appeared in 46 films between 1917 and 1961. Life and career Born in Catania, Sicily as Salvatore Pandolfini, the nephew of the actor Angelo Musco, he started his career at young age in small local companies before joining the company of his famous uncle in which he created a large number of successful macchiette ( (i.e. comical monologues caricaturing stock characters).
