It is a part of the Bhojpur district and comprises of 7 Assembly constituencies consisting of Sandesh, Barhara, Arrah, Agiaon (SC), Tarari, Jagdishpur and Shahpur. Sahar, Bihar
Sahār is a village and community development block in Bhojpur district of Bihar, India. The sub-district contains 51 inhabited villages, including that of Sahar itself, with a total district population of 110,276 as of 2011. The village of Sahar has a population of 5,674, in 931 households. Sahar was a major center of conflict during the wider Naxalite insurgency in Bhojpur in the late 1960s and throughout the 1970s. Bihar Legislative Assembly
The Bihar Legislative Assembly, also known as the Bihar Vidhan Sabha, is the lower house of the Bihar Legislature where the first elections were held in 1952. The total strength of membership in the Assembly was 331, including one nominated member. Dr.Shri Krishna Singh became the first Leader of the House and the first Chief Minister, Dr. Anugrah Narayan Singh was elected as the first Deputy Leader of the Assembly and became state's first Deputy Chief Minister. It was reduced to 318 during the second General Elections. In 1977, the total number of elected members of the Bihar Legislative Assembly was further raised from 318 to 325. Arrah (also transliterated as Ara) is a city and a municipal corporation in Bhojpur district, India, Bhojpur district (formerly known as Shahabad district) in the Indian state of Bihar.
