Aron Royé
Aron Royé (born 3 April 1988) is a Dutch basketball player who last played for Apollo Amsterdam in the Dutch Basketball League (DBL). Career Royé started his career in Leiden with Zorg en Zekerheid Leiden. After two seasons, Royé left for the Hanzevast Capitals from Groningen. With the club from Groningen, that later played under the name GasTerra Flames, Royé won the national championship in 2010 and the Dutch Cup in 2011. In the summer of 2011 Royé decided to play for amateur team Apollo Amsterdam in the Dutch second division. When Apollo turned professional in 2012, Royé reentered the Dutch Basketball League. In his first season with Amsterdam, Royé averaged 16.3 points per game, which made him fourth best scorer in the DBL. He also made the All-Star Team that year. In August 2013 his contract was extended. On 11 July 2014 Royé signed a 2-year deal with Port of Den Helder Kings. Cashmere Wright
Cashmere A'keem Wright (born January 9, 1990) is a former American professional basketball player. He played college basketball with the Cincinnati Bearcats men's basketball, Cincinnati Bearcats. Afterwards, he spent three seasons playing professionally in the Netherlands, Greece and Poland. College career Wright was named to the 2012 All- Big East Conference, Big East tournament team with the Cincinnati Bearcats after unranked Cincinnati knocked off #2 Syracuse in the semifinals at Madison Square Garden. The Bearcats beat 15 ranked teams with Cashmere at the point guard position over his career (2009–13). Wright wore number 1 and is the all-time leader in steals (198) for Cincinnati. Wright is also the only player in Cincinnati history to record at least 1300 points, 475 assists and 175 steals. 2019 FIBA 3x3 World Cup – Men's Tournament
The 2019 FIBA 3x3 World Cup was held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, and was contested by 20 teams. Serbia were the three-time defending champions but were defeated in the Semifinals by Latvia. The club competes in the BNXT League and its home arena is MartiniPlaza, which has a seating capacity of 4,350 people. BV Den Helder was a professional basketball club from Den Helder, Netherlands. The team had several seasons in the Dutch Basketball League, the highest professional league in the Netherlands. DBL All-Star Game
The Dutch Basketball League All-Star Gala was a yearly basketball event in the Netherlands, organised by the Federatie Eredivisie Basketball (FEB). During the event the yearly All-Star Game was played, which included the best players of a given DBL season. Additionally, a dunk Contest and three-point contest were also held at the event. Since the 2017–18 season, the event is no longer organised by the FEB. All-Star Game The All-Star Game is played by two teams featuring the best players in the Dutch Basketball League, voted by fans in the Netherlands. Promotiedivisie
The Promotiedivisie (English: Promotion Division) is the second tier of basketball in the Netherlands and is the highest amateur competition in the country. At the end of a Promotiedivisie-season, a Final Four is played to decide the new champion. The champion technically earns the right to promote to the Dutch Basketball League, although it only happens in exceptional cases, because a club has to turn professional to play in the league. In 2012, Apollo Amsterdam became the first Promotiedivise champion to promote to the next season of the Dutch Basketball League. Lokomotief is the most successful team with three won titles. ZZ Leiden Basketball, also known as Zorg en Zekerheid Leiden, is a basketball club based in Leiden, Netherlands. The club plays in the BNXT League, the domestic first tier league. Their home games are played at Vijf Meihal, which has 2,000 seats.
