Arnold Snyder
Arnold Snyder is a professional gambler and gambling author. He was elected by professional blackjack players as one of the seven original inductees into the Blackjack Hall of Fame which is hosted at Barona Casino for his record as a blackjack player and his innovations in professional gambling techniques. He was the first blackjack authority to publish the importance of deck penetration (depth of the deal) in card counting, in his 1980 book ''The Blackjack Formula''. He was also the first blackjack researcher to publish (in ''Blackjack Forum'', 1981–1983) that radical simplification of blackjack card counting systems did not hurt earnings. Since 1981, Arnold Snyder has been the editor of ''Blackjack Forum'', a quarterly trade journal for professional gamblers. Advantage gambling, or advantage play, refers to legal methods used to gain an advantage while gambling, in contrast to cheating in casinos, cheating. Blackjack
Blackjack (formerly Black Jack and Vingt-Un) is a casino banking game. The most widely played casino banking game in the world, it uses decks of 52 cards and descends from a global family of casino banking games known as Twenty-One. In card games, hole carding is the obtaining of knowledge of cards that are supposed to be hidden from view. The term is usually applied to blackjack but can apply to other games with hidden hole cards, like three card poker and Caribbean stud poker. Nathaniel Tilton (born October 8, 1972) is an American former professional blackjack player, author of ''The Blackjack Life'' (Huntington Press, 2012), and Certified Financial Planner. Blackjack Tilton was introduced to card counting by reading the books '' Bringing Down the House'' and ''Busting Vegas'' by Ben Mezrich, which later served as the inspiration for the movie 21. In 2005, Tilton enrolled in a private instructional program offered by Semyon Dukach, the former MIT Blackjack team manager who was featured in ''Busting Vegas''. Donald Schlesinger is a gaming mathematician, author, lecturer, player, and member of the Blackjack Hall of Fame who specializes in the casino game of blackjack. His work in the field has spanned almost five decades. A poker tournament is a tournament where players compete by playing poker. It can feature as few as two players playing on a single table (called a "heads up poker, heads-up" tournament), and as many as tens of thousands of players playing on thousands of tables.
