Angela Arney
Angela Arney (b. Hampshire, England) was a British writer of romance novels since 1984. She was the nineteenth elected Chairman (1997–1999) of the Romantic Novelists' Association. Biography Angela Arney was born and has lived for most of her life in Hampshire, England, and went to school in Winchester. However, since 2001, she lives in Marchwood, near Southampton. Angela has a son (who she wrote ''The Second Wife'' about), a daughter, and four grandchildren. Angela has been a successful published writer of 16 short romantic suspense stories as well as 7 long romance novels since 1984. She was the nineteenth elected Chairman (1997–1999) of the Romantic Novelists' Association, the Plenary Speaker at the Winchester Writers' Conference in 1999, Writer in Residence for the week-long Kent Festival of Literature September 2000, a tutor at most of the annual Winchester Conferences for Writers, and also taught at Southampton University. George Arney
Sir George Alfred Arney (1810 – 7 April 1883) was the second Chief Justice of New Zealand. Early life Arney was born in 1810 in Salisbury, England. His parents were William Arney, a barrister, and Maria Charlotte Arney. He was educated at Winchester and Brasenose College, Oxford. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1832 and a Master of Arts in 1833. He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1829, and received his call to the bar in 1837. He married Harriet Parr in 1835, but his wife died only seven years later. New Zealand He was appointed by the Colonial Office on the advice of Justice Lord Coleridge on 2 September 1857, and arrived in Auckland, New Zealand, on the brig ''Gertrude'' on 19 February 1858. Mishal Husain and George Arney George Arney is a journalist for BBC and was until 2009 one of the hosts of '' The World Today'' and '' Outlook'' on the BBC World Service. He was educated at Clifton College and Cambridge. Life Arney was a BBC producer and a BBC correspondent in Pakistan in the 1980s. He hosted BBC Radio 4's ''Crossing Continents''. Helen Arney
Helen Arney is a British presenter, stand-up comedian and musician. She has toured with the '' Uncaged Monkeys'' alongside comedian Robin Ince and Professor Brian Cox. Described as a "geek songstress" by the Edinburgh Reporter, Arney plays the ukulele as one third of the Festival of the Spoken Nerd, accompanied by stand-up mathematician Matt Parker and television scientist Steve Mould. She and Parker are also commentators on nearly every episode of ''You Have Been Warned'' ('' Outrageous Acts of Science''). After performing songs which she felt were "just quirky and different" at a science show organised by Robin Ince, she realised that she could "add science and music together in a meaningful way".
