Arne Isacsson
Arne Isacsson (21 March 1917 – 25 September 2010) was one of Sweden's most famous watercolour artists and art educators. He was also an author and professor and founded the Gerlesborg School of Fine Art in 1944. Isacsson's well-represented oeuvre explored, among other things, the properties of colour pigments in copious amounts of water. Biography Arne Isacsson was born in Ronneby, Sweden. His grandparents had emigrated from Dalsland to South Bend, Indiana, United States, but returned in the late 19th century. His father enlisted, but had returned to work as a mill worker in Ronneby at the time of Isacsson's birth. A few years later, the family moved to Södermalm in Stockholm and in 1930 to Gothenburg, where Isacsson graduated in 1935. He was a student of artist from 1944 to 1946. Blekinge County ( sv, Blekinge län) is a county or '' län'' in the south of Sweden. It borders the Counties of Skåne, Kronoberg, Kalmar and the Baltic Sea. The capital is Karlskrona. Institut Tessin
The Institut Tessin, also known as the Centre culturel suédois, is a museum in Paris dedicated to the history of Franco-Swedish artistic exchanges. It is located in the Hôtel de Marle at 11, rue Payenne in the city's 3rd arrondissement, and is open weekdays except Monday; admission is free. The museum was established by Gunnar W. Lundberg, art historian and cultural advisor to Sweden's embassy in Paris. It is operated by the Swedish Institute, under the responsibility of the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm, and is the only Swedish culture center located outside of Sweden. The Nordic Watercolour Museum ( sv, Nordiska Akvarellmuseet) is a museum, artist workshop and research facility in Skärhamn on the island of Tjörn in Sweden, opened in 2000. Gustaf VI Adolf (Oscar Fredrik Wilhelm Olaf Gustaf Adolf; 11 November 1882 – 15 September 1973) was King of Sweden from 29 October 1950 until his death in 1973. He was the eldest son of Gustaf V and his wife, Victoria of Baden. Before Gustaf Adolf ascended the throne, he had been crown prince for nearly 43 years during his father's reign. As king, he gave his approval shortly before his death to constitutional changes which removed the Swedish monarchy's last nominal political powers. Svea Life Guards
The Svea Life Guards ( sv, Svea livgarde), also I 1, was a Swedish Army infantry regiment that was active in various forms 1521–2000. The unit was based in the Stockholm Garrison in Stockholm and belonged to the King's Life and Household Troops (''Kungl. Maj:ts Liv- och Hustrupper'') until 1974. History 1500s–1900s Svea Life Guards, the Swedish Army's first guard infantry regiment, originated from the Trabant Corps that surrounded the first Vasa Kings and is said to have been formed in 1526.
