Arne Arnesen
Arne Arnesen (15 February 1928 – 17 December 2010) was a Norwegian diplomat and politician for the Labour Party. He was born in Moss as a son of dentist Arne Arnesen (1900–1975) and modist Dordi Texnæs (1906–1996). The family moved to Oslo in 1932. Arnesen finished his secondary education, lived in Hamar for some time before enrolling in political science at the University of Oslo in 1949. He studied at the University of Minnesota from 1951 until he graduated with the master's degree in 1953. He was a research fellow until 1955, when he started working for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was stationed at the United Nations from 1957 to 1960, worked out of Norway with development aid until 1964, then two years at the embassy in Morocco. Back in Norway he was an assistant secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from 1966 to 1971, then leader of the minister's secretariat. Deborah "Arnie" Arnesen (born October 1, 1953), is an American radio show host and former politician, serving for eight years as a member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives. Early life Arnesen was born in Brooklyn, New York to a Norwegian father and an Italian mother. Political career Arnesen is a former fellow of the Harvard Institute of Politics, and a former member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives from Orford, New Hampshire, serving from 1984 to 1992. She was the Democratic nominee in the 1992 New Hampshire gubernatorial election, when she he became the first woman in New Hampshire history to be nominated by a major political party in a race for governor. The List of diplomats of Norway to China began when diplomatic relations were established in 1851. The establishment of diplomatic relations took place during the union between Sweden and Norway, and a Norwegian-Swedish consulate general was established in Guangzhou. A vice consulate was set up in Shanghai in 1853. When the vice consulate in Shanghai became the consulate general in 1863, and the consulate general in Guangzhou was upgraded to a vice consulate. When the union of Norway and Sweden was ended in 1905, Norway sent the consul-general, Thorvald Hansen, to Shanghai. And there was a vice consulate, Jørgen Jacob Eitzen, in Hong Kong. The Norwegian legation in Beijing was established in 1919.
