Bentley Arnage
The Bentley Arnage is a full-size luxury car manufactured and marketed by Bentley Motors in Crewe, England, from 1998 to 2009. The Arnage and its Rolls-Royce-branded sibling, the Silver Seraph, were introduced in the spring of 1998. They were the first entirely new designs for the two marques since 1980. The Arnage was powered by a BMW M62 V8 engine, with Cosworth-engineered twin-turbo installation, and the Seraph employed a BMW M73 V12 engine. In September 2008, Bentley announced that production of the model would end during 2009. Development Following an uplift in sales for all of Rolls-Royce, and a resurgence of the Bentley marque, the then-owner, Vickers, set about developing a new model to replace the derivatives of the Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit/ Bentley Mulsanne which it had been selling since 1980. Arnage Castle
Arnage Castle is a country house, incorporating a Z-plan tower house, located around north of Ellon, in Aberdeenshire, north-east Scotland. Subsequently he became provost of Aberdeen, where his 16th-century town house has been restored. The family owned Arnage until recently, latterly under the name Leith-Ross. The economist Sir Frederick Leith-Ross (1887–1968) spent his childhood at Arnage Castle. Arnage Primary School
Ellon ( gd, Eilean) is a town in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, approximately north of Aberdeen, lying on the River Ythan, which has one of the few undeveloped river estuaries on the eastern coast of Scotland. It is in the ancient region of Formartine. Its name is believed to derive from the Gaelic term ''Eilean'', an island, on account of the presence of an island in the River Ythan, which offered a convenient fording point. In 1707 it was made a burgh of barony for the Earl of Buchan. Places of interest Places of interest within the town include Ellon Castle Gardens, recently brought back to life by volunteers and open to the public (see website for latest opening times). They include a walled garden of historical importance, yew trees dating back 500 years and the ruins of old Ellon Castle, and the surrounding walls known as the ''Deer Dyke''. Arnage Railway Station
Arnage railway station was a railway station in Arnage, Aberdeenshire. History The station was opened on 18 July 1861 by the Formartine and Buchan Railway. On the northbound platform was the station building and on the west side was the goods yard. Two signal boxes opened in 1890: north and south. The north signal box was on the north side of the northbound platform and the south signal box was on the west side of the goods yard. The north box was downgraded to a ground frame in 1902 and control passed to the south box. The station closed on 4 October 1965. The signal boxes closed along with it. The station building is now a house.
