Army Operational Command (Denmark)
Army Operational Command ( da, Hærens Operative Kommando), short "HOK", was the Danish Army's top authority. It is a Level.II command authority, directly under the Defence Command. ''HOK'' was formed on 1 January 1991. The origin of ''HOK'' can be traced back to 1808, with the forming of the General staff. Initially located in Aarhus, 1 August 1993 it had its headquarters in Karup, Denmark. Due to the recent Defence agreement 2005-2009 many changes are currently in the process of being implemented, so the following subordinated list might not be fully complete or fully accurate. The Danish Ministry of Defence ( da, Forsvarsministeriet, short ''FMN'') is a ministry in the Danish government. It is charged with overall planning, development, and strategic guidance of the entire area of responsibility of the Danish Defence minister, including the armed forces and the emergency management sector. It is Denmark's ministry of defence. It is the secretariat of the Danish Defence Minister. Gardehusarregimentet
The Guard Hussar Regiment ( da, Gardehusarregimentet, GHR) is a cavalry unit of the Royal Danish Army, whose primary task is to train the Guard Hussars for various functions in the mobilisation force. The Guard Hussar Regiment is one of two active cavalry regiments of the Danish Army, and was formed in 2001 through the amalgamation of the original Guard Hussars regiment, Zealand Life Regiment and Danish Life Regiment. History Origins of the regiment Although the Guard Hussars themselves date from 10 February 1762, the Danish Army takes the date of the founding of a regiment from its oldest part, in this case the Zealand Life Regiment, which was founded in 1614. The Royal Danish Military Academy ( da, Hærens Officersskole) educates and commissions all officers for the Royal Danish Army. The Military Academy function was initiated in 1713 by request of King Frederick IV on inspiration from the Naval Academy. Danske Artilleriregiment
The Danish Artillery Regiment (DAR, da, Danske Artilleriregiment) is an artillery unit of the Royal Danish Army, which was founded on 1 November 2005 when the two artillery regiments in Denmark, King's Artillery Regiment and Queen's Artillery Regiment were merged. The unit was disbanded in 2014 and revived in 2019. History DAR was created administratively 1 August 2005 by merging the King's Artillery Regiment and the Queen's Artillery Regiment, with the official day creation as 1 November 2005. Danish Artillery Regiment (DAR) is Denmark's only remaining artillery regiment. The regiment was garrisoned in Varde and an artillery unit stationed in Oksbøl camp. From 2019, the revived regiment is stationed at Oksbøl Kaserne. The regiment traces its history back to 1684 when The Royal Artillery Corps was established in Copenhagen.
