The Armenian National Baseball Team ( hy, Բեյսբոլի Հայաստանի ազգային հավաքական) is the national baseball team of Armenia. The team represents Armenia in international baseball competitions. The team is managed by the Armenian Baseball Federation, which is a member of the Confederation of European Baseball. The team has not qualified to play in the European Baseball Championship. The Armenian Baseball Federation ( hy, Հայաստանի բեյսբոլի ֆեդերացիա), also known as the Armenian Baseball and Sօftball Federation (ABSF), is the regulating body of baseball and softball in Armenia, governed by the Armenian Olympic Committee. The headquarters of the federation is located in Yerevan. About The Armenian Baseball Federation was established in 2005 and is currently led by president Arman Yavryan. Armenian baseball athletes participate in various international and European level baseball championships. The Federation also hosts national baseball competitions and manages the Armenia national baseball team. The Federation is a full member of the World Baseball Softball Confederation, WBSC Europe, and the International Softball Federation. The World Baseball Softball Confederation Europe, known as WBSC Europe, was established on February 10th, 2018 during a Congress of the Confederation of European Baseball and the European Softball Federation in Val d’Europe, France. the establishment of WBSC Europe followed the historic merger of the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB) and the European Softball Federation (ESF). As of September 2022, WBSC Europe counts 40 members for baseball and 39 for softball. The CEB was founded in 1953 with 5 members, which were Belgium, France, West Germany, Italy and Spain. The CEB was responsible for operating the European Baseball Championship, a championship that has been running since 1954 in Europe. In 2010, there were 112,303 players in the CEB countries. Baseball is a bat-and-ball sport played between two teams of nine players each, taking turns batting and fielding. European Baseball Championship
The European Baseball Championship is the main championship tournament between national baseball teams in Europe, governed by the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB). History Italy won the inaugural European Baseball Championship in , and the competition has since been dominated by the Italian team and the Dutch team. As of 2010, it is held every other year, in even-numbered years until 2019 and then in odd-numbered years, with a total of 34 European Baseball Championships having been played.
