Armenia Fed Cup Team
The Armenia Fed Cup team represents Armenia in Fed Cup tennis competitions and are governed by the Armenian Tennis Federation. They currently compete in the Europe/Africa Zone of Group III. History Armenia competed in its first Fed Cup in 1997. Their best result was finishing third in their Group II pool in 2000 and 2001. Prior to 1991, Armenian players were represented by the Soviet Union. 1997 Fed Cup
The 1997 Fed Cup was the 35th edition of the most important competition between national teams in women's tennis. The final took place at Brabant Hall in 's-Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands on 4–5 October, with France defeating the Netherlands to win their first title. World Group Draw World Group Play-offs The four losing teams in the World Group first round ties (Germany, Japan, Spain and United States), and four winners of the World Group II ties (Argentina, Australia, Croatia and Switzerland) entered the draw for the World Group Play-offs.
