Armando Picchi Calcio is an Italian association football club located in Livorno, Tuscany. It plays in Promozione, Tuscany round. Its colors are all-dark red. History The Armando Picchi Calcio of Livorno was founded near to the death of the homonymous Leghorn champion Armando Picchi. Livorno Calcio relegated to the Italian Serie C in 1970, Leo and Enzo Picchi (brother and cousin of Armando) took over the local team ''GS Don Bosco Livorno''. In collaboration with Inter Milan, they transformed it into the ''Armando Picchi Sports Group'' as a new Livorno football reality. The Serie D () is the top level of semi-professional football in the country. The fourth tier of the Italian league system, the competition sits beneath the third professional league, Serie C. 2008–09 Serie D
Serie D, the fifth level of Italian Football, is usually composed of 162 teams divided into nine 18-team divisions. Special relegation of four teams from the professional leagues above Serie D after the team list had been set increased the total number of teams for this season to 166. One division will have 20 teams, two will have 19, while the other six will remain at 18 teams. The regular Serie D season started September 7, 2008. Each team will play two matches against every other team in its own division; a total of 34 matches for 18-team divisions, 36 matches for the 19-team divisions, and 38 matches for the 20-team division. Eccellenza Tuscany ( it, Eccellenza Toscana) is the regional Eccellenza football division for clubs in Tuscany, Italy. It is competed amongst 37 teams, in three different groups (A, B and C). The winners of the Groups compete together in final round robin, and the first and second teams are promoted to Serie D. The club who finishes third, along with the second placed teams in the regular season, also have the chance to gain promotion, as they are entered into a national play-off which consists of two rounds. Leonardo Pavoletti (; born 26 November 1988) is an Italian professional footballer who captains club Cagliari and plays for the Italy national team as a forward. Alessandro Lucarelli ( born 22 July 1977) is an Italian former professional footballer who last played for Parma as a defender. Playing career Alessandro Lucarelli started his professional career at Piacenza, whose youth sides he also represented. In 1997, he was sent out on loan to Leffe in order to gain first team experience, making 29 league appearances with the side in 1997–98 Serie C2. The Eccellenza (, "excellence") is the fifth level (since 2014–15) of Italian football. It is a regional league, composed of 28 divisions divided geographically. All 20 regions are represented by at least one division except for Piedmont and Aosta Valley which share 2 divisions. Veneto, Tuscany, Sicily, Emilia-Romagna and Campania also have 2 divisions each, while the regions of Lombardy and Lazio have 3 divisions.
