Wakaw Lake ( 2016 population: ) is a resort village in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan within Census Division No. 15. It is on the shores of Wakaw Lake in the Rural Municipality of Hoodoo No. 401. It is on Highway 41 approximately north-east of Saskatoon and south of Prince Albert. The Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan is the legislative chamber of the Saskatchewan Legislature in the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Bills passed by the assembly are given royal assent by the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, in the name of the King in Right of Saskatchewan. The assembly meets at the Saskatchewan Legislative Building in Regina. There are 61 constituencies in the province, which elect members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to the Legislative Assembly. All are single-member districts, though the cities of Regina, Saskatoon and Moose Jaw were in the past represented through multi-member districts, with members elected through Block Voting. Kinistino (Saskatchewan Provincial Electoral District)
Kinistino was a provincial electoral district for the Legislative Assembly of the province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Located in north-central Saskatchewan, it was centred on the town of Kinistino. This constituency was one of 25 created for the 1st Saskatchewan general election in 1905. Dissolved and combined with the Melfort riding in 1971, the district was reconstituted before the 18th Saskatchewan general election in 1975. It was dissolved again in 1995 into Saskatchewan Rivers, Melfort-Tisdale, Humboldt and a small part to Prince Albert Carlton. It is now part of the constituencies of Batoche, Melfort, and Saskatchewan Rivers. Josef "Joe" Saxinger (February 2, 1930 – July 3, 2008) was a German-born farmer, business owner and political figure in Saskatchewan. He represented Kinistino from 1986 to 1991 in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan as a Progressive Conservative. He was born in Niederbrünst and was educated in Haag and Passau. 1991 Saskatchewan General Election
The 1991 Saskatchewan general election was held on October 21, 1991, to elect members of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan. The Progressive Conservative government of Premier Grant Devine was defeated by the New Democratic Party, led by former provincial Attorney General Roy Romanow. A major source of dissatisfaction with the Grant Devine government was the "Fair Share Saskatchewan" program, a scheme to distribute public service jobs more evenly across the province; a plan especially unpopular with workers scheduled to be relocated from Regina to rural districts. The Devine government was also notorious for a home construction and renovation relief program which reimbursed homeowners who did their own renovations. Another factor was the unpopularity of the federal Progressive Conservatives under then Prime Minister Brian Mulroney.
