Arlo Gilliam (born June 24, 1977, in Altamont, Tennessee) is an American singer-songwriter and record producer. Arlo Gilliam is a professional singer-songwriter and musician from Whitwell, Tennessee. Since moving to Nashville in 2001, he has released two solo independent albums and has amassed a wide and constantly growing catalogue. He has toured North America numerous times as well as internationally in the last ten years as a solo performer as well as with major recording artists. He has toured and performed with Wade Hayes, Trent Willmon, Katrina Elam, Luke Bryan and Emerson Drive. Altamont, Tennessee
Altamont is a town in Grundy County, Tennessee, United States. The population was 1,117 at the 2020 census. It is the county seat of Grundy County. History Altamont was established in 1848 as a county seat for Grundy County, which had been created in 1844. Adrian Northcut, a prominent local farmer and military officer, was the prime advocate for the site's selection. The town's name comes from combining ''alto'' (meaning "altitude") and ''mont'' (meaning "mountain"). Although the Civil War somewhat stunted the town's growth, by 1870 Altamont's population had grown to 217. Altamont has one of the oldest Mormon congregations in the southeastern United States. The congregation was formed in the 1890s, and a Mormon chapel was built in Northcutt Cove just north of Altamont in 1909. Shortly thereafter, several members of the congregation migrated to Altamont. Whitwell, Tennessee
Whitwell is a city in Marion County, Tennessee, United States, approximately 24 miles northwest of Chattanooga. The population was 1,641 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Chattanooga, TN– GA Metropolitan Statistical Area. History The town that became Whitwell was originally known as Cheekville, but renamed "Whitwell" for Thomas Whitwell, a British metallurgist, inventor and co-founder of the Southern States Coal, Iron and Land Company, who was killed in an accident in his own ironworks in Thornaby in 1878. Whitwell was incorporated as a city in 1956, having grown as a mining town due to the abundance of coal in the mountains near the town. In 1981 there was a major mining accident when 13 coal miners were killed in an explosion. A full list of the names of those killed in the mine explosion is on a monument at Whitwell High School. Tony Wade Hayes (born April 20, 1969) is an American country music artist. Signed to Columbia Records in 1994, he made his debut that year with his gold-certified album '' Old Enough to Know Better''. Its title track, which served as his debut single, reached Number One on the '' Billboard'' Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) charts, and three more singles from it all reached Top Ten as well. Trent Willmon (born March 6, 1973) is an American country music artist, songwriter, and producer. Active since 1998 as a songwriter in Nashville, Tennessee, Willmon was signed to Columbia Records in 2004. He released two albums for the label (2004's ''Trent Willmon'' and 2006's '' A Little More Livin''') and charted six singles on the U.S. ''Billboard'' Hot Country Songs charts before exiting Columbia in 2006. A third album, entitled '' Broken In'', was released on the independent Compadre label in February 2008. Katrina Ruth Elam (born December 12, 1983) is an American country music singer and songwriter. Signed to Universal South Records in 2004, she released her self-titled debut album that year, charting in the ''Billboard'' Hot Country Singles & Tracks (now Hot Country Songs) with the No. 29 "No End in Sight" and the No. 59 "I Want a Cowboy". Emerson Drive is a Canadian country music band consisting of Brad Mates (lead vocals), Danick Dupelle (guitars, backing vocals), Mike Melancon (drums), and Dale Wallace (keyboards, backing vocals).
