The Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa is a resort in the Ouachita Mountains of Hot Springs National Park, Arkansas, home of Oaklawn Race Track and the Arkansas Derby. The Arlington's design inspired the Baker Hotel (Mineral Wells, Texas), Baker Hotel in Mineral Wells, Texas. The hotel is located at the north end of "Bathhouse Row". History Samuel W. Fordyce and two other entrepreneurs financed the construction of the first luxury hotel in the area, the first Arlington Hotel, which opened in 1875. After almost 20 years of use, it was razed to build a new hotel. When it was rebuilt in 1892–93, the hotel was known as the New Arlington, and boasted of its Architecture of the Spanish Renaissance, Spanish Renaissance architecture. With 300 rooms in four stories of red brick, it had corner towers. The Arlington Hotel was a historic hotel in Santa Barbara, California, United States. Opened in 1876, it was one of the grandest hotels in the West. The original building burned down on 15 August 1909, and a replacement hotel was completed in 1911 at a cost of over one and a half million dollars. This building suffered further misfortune when a strong earthquake devastated the town in 1925, and the hotel was left in ruins. Haleākala, later renamed Aikupika, and then the Arlington Hotel, was a historic structure in Honolulu, Hawaii, which was the home of various prominent Hawaiians, and later became a hotel, and the initial headquarters of the American military forces involved in the overthrow of the Kingdom of Hawaii. The two-story pink coral house was built in Honolulu, on King Street, around the 1850s by Hawaiian high chief Pākī, who initially lived there with his wife Kōnia and their hānai daughter, Lydia Pākī, the natural daughter of Keohokalole and Kapaakea. The house was called Haleākala, sometimes translated as ''House of the Sun'' (Haleakalā), but probably meant ''Pink House'' after the coral rock from which the house was constructed. The Arlington Hotel also known as the Echo Tavern and the Echo Hotel, Restaurant and Lounge is a historic building in Echo, Oregon. Description and history The -story wood-frame building is of vernacular construction. The main mass of the building has a rectangular plan with a gable roof and simple details. There have been two additions to the structure one historic and another recent. It originally operated as saloon and hotel. Originally called the Louvre Saloon rooms included "sample rooms" for salesmen to display their goods. An undertaker used the top floor who left behind coffins that were found decades later.
