Highway 321 (AR 321, Ark. 321, Hwy. 321) is a designation for two north–south state highways in central Arkansas. One route of runs from Highway 5/ Highway 367 in Cabot north to Highway 38 east of Austin. A second route of begins at AR 31 north of Beebe and runs north to Highway 267. Route description Cabot to Austin Highway 321 begins near an exit from US 67/ US 167 (Future I-57) at Highway 5 and Highway 367 in Cabot. The route intersects Highway 89 in south Cabot before exiting the city and running due east. Near Oak Grove the route turns due north, with Highway 321 Spur (AR 321S) continuing east to Highway 31. Interstate 57 (I-57) is a north–south Interstate Highway in Missouri and Illinois that parallels the old Illinois Central Railroad for much of its route. It runs from Sikeston, Missouri, at I-55 to Chicago, Illinois, at I-94. I-57 essentially serves as a shortcut route for travelers headed between the South (Memphis, New Orleans, etc.) and Chicago, bypassing St. Louis, Missouri and Springfield, Illinois. Generally the two-digit odd numbered highways run north–south with a few exceptions; and even-numbered two-digit state highways run east–west with a few exceptions. Arkansas has long had a stigma of poor roads, dating from the "Arkansas Roads Scandal" playing a prominent role in state politics through the 1920s and 1930s, periodic allegations of corruption, waste, and fraud, and a long-running struggle to adequately fund the operation, maintenance and expansion of a large highway system serving a rural state. The spurs are named after List of Arkansas state highways, their parent highways, which leads to multiple designations of the same name in some cases. All spur routes are maintained by the Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT). Shields Arkansas state highway spur routes are signed using standard state highway shield backgrounds. The number remains the same size and a "S" (for spur) is added in an almost-Exponentiation, exponential format. Shield sizes remain, one-digit routes keep the shields, while two-digit routes become . Highway 89 (AR 89, Ark. 89, and Hwy. 89) is a highway in the central part of the U.S. state of Arkansas. Route description AR 89's southern terminus is at an intersection with U.S. Highway 70 (US 70) near the western end of Lonoke. From there, it runs north and west to Furlow, intersecting AR 15 and AR 294, then miles north to AR 367 at Cabot, the largest city through which the highway runs. Within Cabot, it serves as a portion of two major commercial thoroughfares—first as South Pine Street from city limits into downtown, then turning westward as West Main Street. Highway 267 (AR 267, Ark. 267, and Hwy. 267) is a designation for two state highways in White County. One route of begins at Highway 31 and runs northeast to Highway 367 in Searcy. Lonoke County is located in the Central Arkansas region of the U.S. state of Arkansas. As of the 2010 census, the population was 68,356, making it the 11th-most populous of Arkansas's 75 counties. The county seat is Lonoke and largest city is Cabot. Lonoke County was formed on April 16, 1873, from Pulaski County and Prairie County, and was named as a corruption of "lone oak", after a large red oak in the area that had been used by a surveyor to lay out the Memphis and Little Rock Railroad.
