The Arkansas Fire Training Academy is the official fire training institution for the state of Arkansas. The main campus is located on the grounds of Southern Arkansas University Tech in Camden, Arkansas, alongside the Arkansas Law Enforcement Training Academy. Mission The mission of the Arkansas Fire Training Academy is to provide training and certification in fire fighting and related emergency service programs to the Arkansas Fire Service, in accordance with the standards of the National Fire Protection Association. Arkansas ( ) is a landlocked state in the South Central United States. Cossatot Community College of the University of Arkansas (CCCUA) is a public community college serving southwest Arkansas. Its main campus is located in the foothills of the Ouachita Mountains in De Queen, Arkansas. History Cossatot Vocational-Technical School was established in 1975 to serve as a location for basic vocational education in southwest Arkansas. Southern Arkansas University (SAU) is a public university in Magnolia, Arkansas. History Southern Arkansas University was established by an Act of the Arkansas Legislature in 1909 as a district agricultural high school for southwest Arkansas and was originally named Third District Agricultural School, often called by students and faculty "TDAS." Its first term began in January 1911, with its curriculum including only subjects at the secondary school level. The Arkansas EMT Association is a non-profit organization consisting of Emergency Medical personnel from the State of Arkansas. Purpose Since the Association's creation by a group of Hot Springs Emergency Medical Technicians in August 1978, the AEMTA has had two main goals. De Queen ( ) is a city and the county seat of Sevier County, Arkansas, United States. The population was 6,629 at the 2010 census.
