''Arjun'' is a 1985 Indian Hindi-language action film directed by Rahul Rawail and starring Sunny Deol and Dimple Kapadia. The film was a success and was declared as a 'Super Hit' by the box office. The film was later remade in Tamil as '' Sathyaa'', in Telugu as ''Bharatamlo Arjunudu'', in Kannada as ''Sangrama''.and in Sinhala as ''Suranimala'' The film is about a young educated but unemployed man named Arjun Malvankar (Sunny Deol) from a lower middle class Maharashtrian family in Mumbai. He has a group of friends who are also unemployed. They are all frustrated with the system that thrives on corruption and exploitation of the weak. Rahul Rawail
Rahul Rawail is an Indian film director and editor in Bollywood known for his films like '' Love Story'' (1981), ''Betaab'' (1983), '' Arjun'' (1985), ''Dacait'' (1987), ''Anjaam'' (1994), '' Arjun Pandit'' (1999) and the recent one '' Jo Bole So Nihaal'' (2005). ''Matka'' gambling or ''satta'' is a form of betting and lottery which originally involved betting on the opening and closing rates of cotton transmitted from the New York Cotton Exchange to the Bombay Cotton Exchange. It originates from before the era of Indian independence when it was known as ''Ankada Jugar'' ("figures gambling").
