Arizona Elections, 2016
The general election was held in the U.S. state of Arizona on November 8, 2016, as part of the 2016 General Election. Arizona voters chose 11 electors to represent them in the Electoral College via a popular vote. Also three seats on the Arizona Corporation Commission were up for election, as well as all of Arizona's nine seats in the United States House of Representatives and one seat for the United States Senate. Arizona ( ; nv, Hoozdo Hahoodzo ; ood, Alĭ ṣonak ) is a state in the Southwestern United States. It is the 6th largest and the 14th most populous of the 50 states. Rick Gray (Arizona Politician)
Rick Gray (born in Omaha, Nebraska) is an American politician and former member of the Arizona Senate as well as a former Republican member of the Arizona House of Representatives representing District 21. Gray previously served consecutively from January 10, 2011 until January 14, 2013 in the District 9 seat. In 2016, Gray ran for a seat on the Arizona Corporation Commission, but placed fourth in the Republican primary. Ann Leila Kirkpatrick (born March 24, 1950) is an American politician and retired attorney serving as the United States representative from since 2019. A member of the Democratic Party, she represented from 2009 to 2011 and again from 2013 to 2017. Kirkpatrick was a member of the Arizona House of Representatives from 2005 to 2007. Coconino County is a county in the north-central part of the U.S. state of Arizona. Its population was 145,101 at the 2020 census. The county seat is Flagstaff. Chandler is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States, and a suburb in the Phoenix-Mesa-Chandler Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA). Albert Anthony Melvin (born November 3, 1944) is a Republican politician who served in the Arizona Senate. Melvin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1969 from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and earned his MBA from the American Graduate School in 1972. In 1994, he received his diploma from the U.S. Naval War College. He then served as a captain in the United States Navy, from 1997 to 1999 and a ship's officer for the American Maritime Officers (1999-2002).
