Arizona Express
''Arizona Express'' is a 1924 American silent crime drama film directed by Tom Buckingham and starring Pauline Starke and Evelyn Brent. Plot As described in a film magazine review, David Keith, although engaged to a young woman of the town, comes to love Lola Nichols, a cabaret dancer who pretends to love him in order to obtain information on the layout of a bank that she and her gang intend to rob. When Keith's uncle discovers the plan, he is killed by one of the woman's confederates. Keith is accused of the murder and sent to prison. Just a few minutes before he is set to be executed, he is pardoned by the governor through the efforts of his sister Katherine and her sweetheart Steve, who have secured evidence that establishes his innocence. Tom Buckingham (February 25, 1895 – September 7, 1934) was an American film director and screenwriter. He directed 48 films between 1920 and 1932. Frank Beal
Frank Beal (September 11, 1862 – December 20, 1934) was an American actor and film director of the silent film era. Biography Born in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1862, Beal began acting in 1880 and gained fame as a director and an actor. In 1908, he moved from stage to film, with the Selig Polyscope Company. He appeared in 42 films between 1910 and 1933, and also directed 41 films between 1910 and 1921. Beal was married to actress Louise Lester and was the father of actress Dolly Beal and actor Scott Beal. He died in Hollywood, California, in 1934. His obituary in the ''Los Angeles Times'' called him "one of the first prominent figures of the theatrical industry to desert it and go into motion pictures". Otto F. Hoffman (May 2, 1879 – June 23, 1944) was an American film actor. He appeared in almost 200 films between 1915 and 1944. He was born in New York City and died in Los Angeles, California, from lung cancer. Hoffman's Broadway credits include ''The Strange Woman'' (1913), ''The Spring Maid'' (1910), and ''A Broken Idol'' (1909). He was also active in stock theater productions.
