José María Arguedas
José María Arguedas Altamirano (18 January 1911 – 2 December 1969) was a Peruvian novelist, poet, and anthropologist. Arguedas was an author of Spanish descent, fluent in the Native Quechua language, gained by living in two Quechua households from the age of 7 to 11 - first in the Indigenous servant quarters of his step-mother's home, then, escaping her "perverse and cruel" son, with an Indigenous family approved by his father - who wrote novels, short stories, and poems in both Spanish and Quechua. Generally remembered as one of the most notable figures of 20th-century Peruvian literature, Arguedas is especially recognized for his intimate portrayals of Indigenous Andean culture. Key in his desire to depict Indigenous expression and perspective more authentically was his creation of a new language that blended Spanish and Quechua and premiered in his debut novel '' Yawar Fiesta''. Alcides Arguedas
Alcides Arguedas Díaz (July 15, 1879 in La Paz – May 6, 1946 in Chulumani) was a Bolivian writer and historian. His literary work, which had a profound influence on the Bolivian social thought in the first half of the twentieth century, addresses issues related to national identity, miscegenation, and indigenous affairs. His most significant work, '' Raza de bronce'' ("Bronze Race") (1919), is considered one of the most influential Bolivian literary works and a precursor of indigenism. Juan Carlos Arguedas
Juan Carlos Arguedas Ávila (born 3 May 1970) is a retired Costa Rican footballer. Club career Arguedas used to play for AD Carmelita, but was also part of the three "big teams" of Costa Rica's football, Deportivo Saprissa, Herediano and Alajuelense. He made his professional debut for the latter on 18 March 1988 against Ramonense. He was Costa Rica's league top goalscorer twice, in 1994/95 and 1999/2000 with 28 and 23 goals respectively and scored a total of 125 goals in Costa Rica's Premier Division . Spells abroad He also had a spell with Tecos in the Primera División de México, in the Guatemalan top division with Cobán Imperial and Aurora and with Colombian side Atlético Bucaramanga.
