Łódź, also rendered in English as Lodz, is a city in central Poland and a former industrial centre. It is the capital of Łódź Voivodeship, and is located approximately south-west of Warsaw. Tour of the Universe was a 2009–2010 worldwide concert tour by English electronic band Depeche Mode in support of the group's 12th studio album, ''Sounds of the Universe'', which was released in April 2009.
