Arena Savaria is a multi-purpose indoor stadium in Szombathely, Hungary. It hosts a number of sport clubs from amateur to professional level, with 2007 Hungarian basketball championship winner Falco KC being its most notable tenant. Features The arena hosts the regional sports medicine complex and it also has an outdoor sports park with a number of sports fields. Arena Savaria has 4,000 seating places for basketball events, that can be expanded by further 700 seats if necessary. For other events, such as concerts and shows, the figures can go up to 8,000, including standing places. Szombathely
Szombathely (; german: Steinamanger, ; see also other alternative names) is the 10th largest city in Hungary. It is the administrative centre of Vas county in the west of the country, located near the border with Austria. Falco Kosárlabda Club, for sponsorship reasons named Falco Volvo Alpok Autó Szombathely, is a Hungarian professional basketball club based in Szombathely. The team play their home games at Arena Savaria, a multi-use complex, which was opened in 2006. History Beginning and uprising The club was created in 1980, when basketball fanatics György Gráczer and István Németh with the support of the local wood industry Falco started to organize meetings and trainings. In that year the club entered the county level championship. In 1987, Falco decided to invest more money into the club and the success was immediate. Thompson (band)
Thompson is a Croatian ethno hard rock band, founded by songwriter and lead vocalist Marko Perković ("Thompson"), who is often identified with the band itself. The lineup consists of Tomislav Mandarić, Ivan Ivanković, Duje Ivić, and Ivica Bilić Ike. Edvin Marton (born Lajos Edvin Csűry, 17 February 1974, Vylok, Ukraine) is a Ukrainian-born Hungarian composer and violinist. He became known as the violinist of the skaters, mainly because Evgeni Plushenko, Stéphane Lambiel, Yuzuru Hanyu (as a tribute to Plushenko), and other famous skaters often skated to his music. Adagio is a French progressive metal band formed in 2000 by guitarist Stéphan Forté. History Since their third studio album ''Dominate,'' Adagio has evolved from their original power metal sound, but still adhering to their trademark elements of virtuosity and massive orchestral influences.
