Arena Naucalpan is an indoor sports arena located in Naucalpan de Juárez, Mexico located on Calle Jardín 19, Naucalpan Centro. The arena is primarily used for professional wrestling, or ''lucha libre'', mainly shows promoted by International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) but has also hosted a number of other promotions since its creation in 1977. Arena Naucalpan has a capacity of 2,400 spetators and is generally configured for professional wrestling with a ring permanently in the center of the arena. in 1977 the arena replaced Arena KO Al Gusto that was in the same location, when professional wrestling promoter Adolfo Moreno bought the location and had the old roller rink building turned into Arena Naucalpan. Naucalpan De Juárez
Naucalpan, officially Naucalpan de Juárez, is one of 125 municipalities located just northwest of Mexico City in the adjoining State of Mexico. The municipal seat is the city of Naucalpan de Juárez, which extends into the neighboring municipality of Huixquilucan. The name Naucalpan comes from Nahuatl and means "place of the four neighborhoods" or "four houses." Juárez was added to the official name in 1874 in honor of Benito Juárez. The history of the area begins with the Tlatilica who settled on the edges of the Hondo River between 1700 and 600 B.C.E., but it was the Mexica who gave it its current name when they dominated it from the 15th century until the Spanish conquest of the Mexica Empire. The Distrito Federal Trios Championship is a ''Trios'' (six-man) tag team Championship primarily promoted by the Mexican Lucha libre professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG). The title was created in 1986 and is controlled by the "Comisión de Box y Lucha Libre Mexico D.F." (''Mexico City Boxing and Wrestling Commission''), which regulates all matches where the title is defended, allowing it to only be defended in Mexico City and the State of Mexico. IWRG Prison Fatal
International Wrestling Revolution Group (Grupo Internacional Revolución in Spanish; the Spanish name is used for the promotion while the English initials are used for the title governing body) is a Lucha Libre promotion based in Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. ''Caravana de Campeones'' is a major professional wrestling show series produced and scripted by the Mexican ''lucha libre'' promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) on a near-annual basis since its inception in 2008. Wrestling Mask
A wrestling mask is a fabric-based mask that some professional wrestlers wear as part of their in-ring persona or gimmick. Professional wrestlers have been using masks as far back as 1915 and they are still widely used today, especially in Lucha Libre in Mexico. History At the 1865 World's Fair, Theobaud Bauer debuted the mask, wrestling as "The Masked Wrestler" in Paris, France. He continued wrestling using the mask throughout France as part of a circus troupe in the 1860s before moving on to the United States in the early 1870s. In 1915, Mort Henderson started wrestling as the "Masked Marvel" in the New York area making him the first North American wrestler to perform with such a gimmick. IWRG Festival De Las Máscaras
The Festival de las Máscaras (Spanish for "Festival of the Mask") is an annually recurring major professional wrestling show produced and scripted by International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG; Sometimes referred to as ''Grupo Internacional Revolución'' in Mexico). The focus of the show is paying homage to the history and "legends" of ''lucha libre'' each year. The IWRG Rey del Ring (Spanish for "King of the Ring") refers both to an annual tournament and a professional wrestling championship promoted by the Mexican Lucha libre professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG). From 2002 until 2011 the IWRG ''Rey del Ring'' only referred to an annual 30-man tournament, but as of the 2011 tournament there is also a physical championship belt that is and can be defended throughout the year. As it is a professional wrestling championship, the championship was not won not by actual competition, but by a scripted ending to a match determined by the bookers and match makers. IWRG Guerra Del Golfo
Tetsuya Bushi, risked his mask twice in ''La Guerra del Golfo'' tournaments. Guerra del Golfo (Spanish for "Gulf War") is both the name of a major show series promoted by the Mexican ''Lucha Libre'', or professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) as well as the name of the tournament match that is the focal point of the show. The tournament consists of two first-round steel cage matches where the last person in the cage advances to the final match of the night. In the finals the two losers face off in a cage match where the loser of that match is either unmasked or forced to have their hair shaved off under ''Luchas de Apuestas'' rules.
