Arellano (Manila North) High School
Cayetano Arellano High School, otherwise known as Manila North High School, is a public secondary school located along Teodora Alonzo Street, Santa Cruz, Manila, Philippines. It is one of the oldest public schools in Manila. History The first American-established public high school in Manila was Manila High School, which according to the National Historical Institute, was established in 1906 under the tutelage of Dr. David P. Barrows, Director of Education and Mr. Charles H. Magee, Acting Superintendent of the City Schools of Manila. In 1921, it was split into two: Manila South High School, later renamed Araullo High School and Manila North High School, now known as Arellano High School. The first principals were Americans. Santa Cruz is a district in the northern part of the City of Manila, Philippines, located on the right bank of the Pasig River near its mouth, bordered by the districts of Tondo, Binondo, Quiapo, and Sampaloc, as well as the areas of Grace Park and Barrio San Jose in Caloocan and the district of La Loma in Quezon City. Fernando Sena
Fernando Belen Sena (born March 30, 1948) is considered the Father of the Philippine Art Workshop for his tireless efforts in sharing his knowledge and talent with those who wish to learn. An all-around painter, Sena was born in Tondo, Manila and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree majoring in painting from the University of the East in 1971. Renato Constantino (March 10, 1919 – September 15, 1999) was a Filipino historian known for being part of the leftist tradition of Philippine historiography. German Molina Moreno (; October 4, 1933 – January 8, 2016), also known as Kuya Germs ( or ) and dubbed as "The Master Showman", was a Filipino television host, presenter, actor, comedian, talent manager, producer, writer, and director. Manila High School (Intramuros)
The Manila High School is an educational institution in Manila, Philippines. It was first built along the present site of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila on General Luna Street in Intramuros from July 1963 up to April 1967. The school complex of the first Manila High School at Victoria Annex was formally inaugurated on February 26, 1967. History In 1921, the city government of Manila established secondary schools in each of the four districts; the Manila East, West, North, and South High Schools. Manila High School was renamed as the Manila South High School due to its location at the south of the mouth of Pasig River.
