Arclinea
Arclinea, also known as ''Arclinea Arredamenti Spa'', is an Italian design company. It was founded in Caldogno, Italy in 1925 by Silvio Fortuna, as a carpentry shop: Silvio resumed the business started by his great-grandfather in 1816 and interrupted a century later by the war. The company change its name from "Ditta Silvio Fortuna, lavorazione meccanica del legno" to "Arclinea Cucine Componibili" in the 1960 and it began to focus exclusively on kitchen cabinetry in 1960. At that point, the firm began crafting cabinetry specifically designed to hold appliances, which had typically been considered a separate kitchen design element. This led to a more sleek, streamlined appearance for the kitchen. Angelo, Almerindo and Lena, Silvio's sons, joined the company too. Antonio Citterio
Antonio Citterio (born 1950, in Meda) is an Italian architect, furniture designer and industrial designer who lives and works in Milan. He acquired a degree in architecture from Politecnico di Milano in 1972 and subsequently started working as a designer and industrial design consultant. From 1987 to 1996, he worked in association with Terry Dwan, designing buildings in Europe and Japan. In 2000, with Patricia Viel, founds "Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel" a cross-disciplinary practice for architecture and interior design. The firm works internationally, developing complex projects on all scales in collaboration with a qualified network of specialist consultants. Caldogno is a town and ''comune'' near Vicenza in Italy. It has a population of 11,337 inhabitants. The Villa Caldogno Nordera in its territory is attributed to architect Andrea Palladio.
