Arckid
Arckid was a rock band from the 1990s and 2000s, heavily influenced by David Bowie, Queen and T. Rex. Arckid was composed of Royston Langdon (bass guitar and vocals), Antony Langdon (guitar and vocals), Christian Langdon (guitar and vocals) and Jonny Cragg (drums). They were formed primarily of former members of Spacehog, History In 2004, Royston Langdon teamed up with one of the former members of Blind Melon to form the band The Quick. Later, they ran into problems touring with the name, and they decided to rename it The Tender Trio. Ultimately, The Tender Trio broke up on March 2, 2006. Royston, Antony and Christian Langdon then pooled their resources to form Arckid. By June 2006, they had recorded eight songs with Bryce Goggin at Trout Studios in Brooklyn. Jonny Cragg, by then sporting a moustache, joined The Twenty-Twos as their drummer post-Spacehog but has since rejoined the Langdon brothers in Arckid. Spacehog
Spacehog are an English rock band formed in 1994 in New York City. Their music is heavily influenced by David Bowie, Queen (band), Queen, and T.Rex (band), T. Rex. The band's best known single is In the Meantime (Spacehog song), "In the Meantime". History Though all the band members are from Leeds, West Yorkshire, the band was formed in New York City. Antony Langdon met Jonny Cragg by chance in a café where Cragg had a job killing rats. Soon after, Langdon's brother Royston joined the band, and Spacehog was born. Royston Langdon
Royston William Langdon (born 1 May 1972) is an English musician who is the lead singer and bassist of the English-American glam rock band Spacehog. Early life Langdon was born on 1 May 1972 in Leeds. When he was young, he and his older brother Antony joined the Leeds Parish Church choir; the two of them would later found Spacehog in 1994, with Antony playing rhythm guitar in the band. Langdon wanted to become a photographer and artist and dreamed of attending Saint Martin's School of Art in London. At the age of 16, he was kicked out of school. Bass Guitar
The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. Your Vegas was a British rock band from Leeds, England, formed by Coyle Girelli, Mat Steel, Jon Langford, Mal Taylor and Mark Heaton. Background The band started playing music together while attending Prince Henry's Grammar School in Otley, West Yorkshire. Their first band was called Orka but they later changed their name to Salvadore. In December 2004 they joined forces with Mark Heaton, a friend from the Leeds music scene. They signed with indie label White Duke Records in 2005 and the band released two self produced singles, Your Vegas and Flybuzz, the latter hitting number 12 in the UK Indie Chart. They toured the UK and in the summer of that year they performed on the unsigned stage at Leeds Festival. Blind Melon
Blind Melon is an American rock band formed in 1990 in Los Angeles by five musicians: three from Mississippi, one from Pennsylvania and one from Indiana. The band currently consists of guitarists Rogers Stevens and Christopher Thorn, drummer Glen Graham, vocalist Travis Warren and bassist Nathan Towne. They are best known for their 1993 hit "No Rain", and enjoyed critical and commercial success in the early 1990s with their neo-psychedelic take on alternative rock. Blind Melon released two albums on Capitol Records – ''Blind Melon'' (1992) and ''Soup'' (1995) – before their original lead vocalist Shannon Hoon died of a drug overdose on the band's tour bus in New Orleans on October 21, 1995. Queen (band)
Queen are a British rock band formed in London in 1970 by Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Brian May (guitar, vocals) and Roger Taylor (Queen drummer), Roger Taylor (drums, vocals), later joined by John Deacon (bass).
