Archspire
Archspire is a Canadian technical death metal band from Vancouver. They have released four studio albums and are currently signed to Season of Mist. History The band was formed in 2007 as Defenestrated, but changed their name to Archspire in 2009. Members were singer Oli Peters (Oliver Aleron), guitarists Tobi Morelli and Dean Lamb, Bassist Jaron Evil (Jaron Good) and drummer Spencer Prewett. Singer Shawn Haché was with the band briefly but left to join Mitochondrion. The band was signed to Trendkill Recordings and, in April 2011, released their first album, ''All Shall Align''. It was recorded between May and December 2010 working with producer Stuart McKillop at The Hive Studio in Calgary. In early 2013, Jaron Evil suffered a stroke at age 31. He recovered and briefly returned to the band, but left permanently in late 2013. He was replaced by Clayton Harder. Bleed The Future
''Bleed the Future'' is the fourth studio album by Canadian technical death metal band Archspire, released on October 29, 2021, through Season of Mist. The album won the 2022 Juno Award for Metal/Hard Music Album of the Year. The album sold 3,700 units in its first week and debuted at No. 29 on the Top Album Sales charts. Promotion and release In March 2020, Archspire announced they were rescheduling the "Tech Trek Canada" tour which they were set to headline with support from Soreption, Entheos, and Wormhole. The band announced that while self-isolating as per CDC guidelines, they would be using their time to continue to write the follow up to 2017's Relentless Mutation. Relentless Mutation
''Relentless Mutation'' is the third studio album by Canadian technical death metal band Archspire, released on September 22, 2017 through Season of Mist. It is the first album to feature bassist Jared Smith, who replaced bassist and vocalist Jaron Evil who departed in 2014. The album is a concept album revolving around a telepathic cult called "A.U.M.", and their experiments on human biology. In February 2018, ''Relentless Mutation'' was nominated for the 2018 Juno Awards Metal / Hard Music Album of the Year. Promotion and release A lyric video for the album's premiere single, "Involuntary Doppelgänger", was released on July 5, 2017. Season of Mist is an independent record label and record distributor with subsidiaries in France and the United States. The record label was founded in 1996 by Michael S. Berberian in Marseille, France. From the start releasing black metal, pagan metal, and death metal records, the label moved on to releasing albums of avant-garde metal, gothic metal and punk bands as well. Revocation is an American technical death metal band from Boston, Massachusetts, consisting of guitarist and vocalist Dave Davidson, bassist Brett Bamberger and drummer Ash Pearson. The band has released eight studio albums, two EPs, and ten music videos since their formation.
