Archie Radebe
Archie 'Juluka' Radebe (c. 1959 – 7 January 2015) was a South African soccer player and coach. He played for AmaZulu and the Moroka Swallows in the South African National Premier Soccer League. He later coached the Manzini Wanderers in the Swazi Premier League, and Hellenic F.C. Club career Radebe played for Moroka Swallows Ltd. in the old National Premier Soccer League. He played in a famous Datsun Cup match against where he scored the winner in a 4–3 win over African Wanderers on 28 May 1982. Swallows advanced to the quarter finals but lost to Arcadia Shepherds 2–0. He moved to Usuthu and later became the captain. In the inaugural National Soccer League campaign, he scored a brace in a 5–4 win over Pretoria Callie's in the 1985 JPS Cup but Usuthu were knocked out his former club with Thomas Hlongwane and. Moroka Swallows
Moroka Swallows Football Club (often known as simply Swallows or The Birds) is a South African professional football club based in Soweto in the city of Johannesburg in the Gauteng province. Founded in 1947, Swallows are one of the original two Soweto clubs, together with Orlando Pirates, thus contest what is known as the Original Soweto Derby. Until relegation in the 2014–15 season, the club had played every season of the Premier Soccer League. They won the 2019–20 National First Division and competed in the 2020–21 South African Premier Division, they finished 6th in what was their first season back in top-flight football league system and qualified for 2021 MTN 8 Cup competition. Samora Khulu
Moran Khulu, better known as Samora Khulu, (died 6 August 2008) was a South African football (soccer) striker who played for African Wanderers, Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu. Club career Joe Frickleton discovered Khulu when he still played for African Wanderers in Durban. "I immediately spotted his potential while I was still coaching Highlands Park - and the great measure of success Chiefs achieved in the record breaking season was due to him." Khulu scored a hat trick in his first match against Wits University at Orlando Stadium. He developed a penchant of scoring at Ellis Park Stadium. Chiefs signed Khulu for a hefty R25 000 at the start of the 1984 season. He finished the season as the 1984 Footballer of the Year and the winner of the Golden Boot with 21 goals. Mpho Gift Leremi (13 October 1984 – 3 September 2007) was a South African football midfielder who last played for Mamelodi Sundowns in the Premier Soccer League, and South Africa. Leremi died in a car crash on 3 September 2007 near Johannesburg, South Africa. Career Leremi was an offensive midfielder who began his career with the youth club Pimville Giants in Soweto, where he was born, and discovered by Orlando Pirates in 1999 at a local soccer tournament. Upon joining the Pirates development team, Augusto Palacios, the Pirates youth director, immediately recognized the talent in the player and took him under his wing. Lebohang Mokoena (born 29 September 1986 in Soweto, Gauteng) is a South African footballer who plays for Moroka Swallows. Mokoena is known for his pace and dribbling ability, and is most commonly found playing upfront or on the right wing. He has no relation with former Portsmouth FC player Aaron Mokoena. He is also extremely famous for being featured on '' Football Manager 2005'' as a high potential and relatively cheap signing. Thomas Johnson (South African Footballer)
Thomas Johnson (1942 – 23 February 2011) was a South African soccer player and manager. He was one of the co-founders of Kaizer Chiefs, the club's first captain and the first head coach of the Kaizer Chiefs team. He also competed in the first ever Soweto derby on 24 January 1970, only 17 days after Chiefs' formation. Coaching career Johnson had coaching licenses from Germany, England and Brazil. Johnson attended a coaching courses in Germany and came back with videos to pass on his knowledge to other players. Orange Farm
Orange Farm ("Farma") is a township located approximately from Johannesburg in the Gauteng Province of South Africa. It is the southernmost township of the City of Johannesburg Metropolitan Municipality. Its name, a misnomer given that oranges are grown in orchards instead of farms, has Dutch origins. It is one of the youngest townships in South Africa, with the original inhabitants, laid-off farm workers, taking up residency in 1988.
