Archibald Henderson Law Office
The Archibald Henderson Law Office is a historic law office building located at Salisbury, Rowan County, North Carolina. History The Law Office was built in 1796, and is a one-story, one room, frame building with a low hipped roof and a brick foundation. It was the law office of Congressman and North Carolina politician Archibald Henderson (1768–1822). Upon his death, the law office was inherited by his daughter, Jane Caroline Henderson, who married Congressman and jurist, Nathaniel Boyden (1796–1873). The Office was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. It is located in the Salisbury Historic District. Salisbury, North Carolina
Salisbury is a city in the Piedmont region of North Carolina, United States; it has been the county seat of Rowan County since 1753 when its territory extended to the Mississippi River. Located northeast of Charlotte and within its metropolitan area, the town has attracted a growing population. The 2020 census shows 35,580 residents. It was built in 1887, and is a two-story, two bay by two bay, brick building with Italianate style design elements. It is associated with A.C. Zollicoffer, who was prominent in local and regional legal, political, and business circles. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. It is located in the Henderson Central Business Historic District. Nash Law Office
Nash Law Office is a historic office building located at Hillsborough, North Carolina, Hillsborough, Orange County, North Carolina. It was built in 1801, and is a small one-story, frame building with a gable roof and low brick foundation. It has a brick exterior end chimney and a small one-story wing added in 1865. The building housed the law office of jurist Frederick Nash (1781-1858). Following his death it housed a school and was purchased by the Hillsborough Historical Society in 1970. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. It is located in the Hillsborough Historic District.
