	Bishop Of Lynn The Bishop of Lynn is an episcopal title used by a suffragan bishop of the Church of England Diocese of Norwich, in the Province of Canterbury, England. The title takes its name after the town of King's Lynn in Norfolk; the See was erected under the Suffragans Nomination Act 1888 by Order in Council dated 26 June 1963. The Bishop of Lynn has particular oversight of the Archdeaconry of Lynn. 	Aubrey Aitken William Aubrey Aitken (known as Aubrey; 2 August 19111 June 1985) was the second Bishop of Lynn from 1973 until 1985. Born into a family of Norfolk priests (his father, Robert, was Vicar of Great Yarmouth, whose own father, Hay, was a Canon of Norwich) and educated at Norwich Grammar School and Trinity College, Oxford (he gained the degree of Oxford Master of Arts ). He was ordained a deacon on 23 December 1934 and a priest on 22 December 1935, both times by Harold Bilbrough, Bishop of Newcastle, in Newcastle Cathedral. and in 1937, he married Margaret Cunningham; they had three sons and two daughters. 	William Llewellyn (bishop) William Somers Llewellyn (16 August 190722 July 2001) was the inaugural bishop of Lynn from 1963 until 1972. Educated at Eton and Balliol, he was deaconed on Trinity Sunday 1935 (16 June) and priest the next Trinity Sunday (7 June 1937) – both times by Arthur Winnington-Ingram, Bishop of London at St Paul's Cathedral – and began his ecclesiastical career with a curacy at Chiswick. From 1940 until 1946 he was a chaplain to the Forces and then vicar of Tetbury, from when on he was to have a deep affinity with the area. Additionally rural dean of the area from 1955, in 1961 he was appointed Archdeacon of Lynn and suffragan bishop a year later: he was consecrated a bishop by Michael Ramsey, Archbishop of Canterbury, on 18 October 1963 at Westminster Abbey.
