Archdeacon Of Northolt
The Archdeacon of Northolt is a senior ecclesiastical officer within the Diocese of London. As such he or she is responsible for the disciplinary supervision of the clergy within its four area deaneries: Brent, Hillingdon, Ealing and Harrow. The post was inaugurated in 1970 and is currently held by Catherine Pickford. Eddie Shirras
Edward Scott Shirras (born 23 April 1937- 3 October 2020) was a British priest of the Church of England. He was the Archdeacon of Northolt from 1985 to 1992. Shirras was educated at Sevenoaks School and the University of St Andrews. After curacies at Christ Church, Surbiton and Jesmond Parish Church he was Youth Secretary of the Church Pastoral Aid Society from 1968 to 1971; its Publications Secretary until 1974 and Assistant General Secretary until 1975. Following this, he was Vicar of Christ Church, Roxeth then Area Dean of Harrow until his archdeacon’s appointment. After this he was Vicar of Christ Church, Winchester, from 1992 to 2001 and then priest in charge of Marcham with Garford Garford is a village and civil parish about west of Abingdon. Archdeacons Of Northolt
An archdeacon is a senior clergy position in the Church of the East, Chaldean Catholic Church, Syriac Orthodox Church, Anglican Communion, St Thomas Christians, Eastern Orthodox churches and some other Christian denominations, above that of most clergy and below a bishop. In the High Middle Ages it was the most senior diocesan position below a bishop in the Catholic Church. An archdeacon is often responsible for administration within an archdeaconry, which is the principal subdivision of the diocese. Duncan Green (priest)
Duncan Jamie Green (born 30 April 1952) is a British retired Anglican priest. From 2013 until retirement, he was Archdeacon of Northolt in the Diocese of London; from 2007 to 2013, he was the Church of England's Olympic and Paralympic Co-ordinator. Early life and education Green was born on 30 April 1952. His first career was as a sales director for an agricultural engineering company. In 1982, he matriculated into Salisbury and Wells Theological College, an Anglican theological college, to train for Holy Orders. Ordained ministry Green was ordained in the Church of England as a deacon in 1984 and as a priest in 1985. Bishop Of Willesden
The Bishop of Willesden is an episcopal title used by a suffragan bishop of the Church of England Diocese of London, in the Province of Canterbury, England. The title takes its name after Willesden, an area of the London Borough of Brent; the See was erected under the Suffragans Nomination Act 1888 by Order in Council dated 8 August 1911. The post was created in 1911, and was the third suffragan bishopric erected in the diocese since 1879. The new bishop was given oversight of four rural deaneries: Hampstead, Hornsey, St Pancras and Willesden, previously the responsibility of the Bishop of Islington. Rachel Treweek
Rachel Treweek (née Montgomery; born 4 February 1963 at Broxbourne, Hertfordshire) is an Anglican bishop who sits in the House of Lords as a Lord Spiritual. Since June 2015, she has served as Bishop of Gloucester, the first female diocesan bishop in the Church of England. A former speech and language therapist, from 2011 until 2015, she was the Archdeacon of Hackney in the Diocese of London. Christopher Thomas James Chessun (born 5 August 1956) is a British Anglican bishop. Since 2011, he has been Bishop of Southwark in the Church of England. Early life and education Chessun is a twin and was born on 5 August 1956. He was educated at Hampton School, an all-boys independent school in London. Pete Broadbent
Peter Alan Broadbent (born 31 July 1952), known as Pete Broadbent, is an English Anglican bishop. He served as the Bishop of Willesden, an area bishop in the Church of England Diocese of London for twenty years, 2001–2021. Michael John Colclough (born 29 December 1944) is a retired British Anglican bishop. He served as area Bishop of Kensington in the Diocese of London (1996–2008) then Canon Pastor of St Paul's Cathedral, London (2008–2013). Early life and education Colclough was born on 29 December 1944 in Staffordshire, England. He was educated at Stanfield Technical High School, a technical school in Burslem, Staffordshire, where he was head boy in 1963. Tom Butler (bishop)
Thomas Frederick Butler (born 5 March 1940) is a British retired Anglican bishop. He was the ninth Anglican Bishop of Southwark. He was enthroned in Southwark Cathedral on 12 September 1998. He retired from this position on 5 March 2010. In 2014, Butler was involved in the transition process for the new Diocese of Leeds as "mentor bishop"; he remains an honorary assistant bishop of that diocese. Roy Southwell was the first Archdeacon of Northolt from 1970 to 1980. Born in Sudbury on 3 December 1914, he was educated at Sudbury Grammar School and King's College London.
