Can Arat (born 21 January 1984) is an Armenian-Turkish footballer. He plays as a center back. Club career Arat played 74 times for the Fenerbahçe PAF team, scoring two goals. He became a regular in the squad following Fábio Luciano's injury at the start of the 2006–07 season, but lost to new transfers Diego Lugano and Edu Dracena four weeks later. Arat joined İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor in 2009. Can Arat İBB'de International career Arat has been called up to the Turkey national football team for the Euro 2008 qualifying group matches. Hasan Arat (born 27 September 1959) is a Turkish sports administrator, businessman and former professional basketball player. He was the leader of Istanbul's Bid to host the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Sports administration Hasan Arat rose to international prominence as leader of Istanbul's bid to host the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Vice-President of the Turkish National Olympic Committee was appointed leader of the Bid when Istanbul were officially shortlisted as a Candidate City by the International Olympic Committee in May 2012. İbrahim Arat (born December 2, 1988, in Izmir, Turkey) is a Turkish weightlifter competing in the –94 kg division. Reşit Rahmeti Arat (Tatar: Рәшит Рәхмәти Арат, ''Räşit Räxmäti Arat'' - ''né ''Ğäbderräşit Räxmätullin'', Габдеррәшит Рәхмәтуллин,'' May 15, 1900 - November 29, 1964) was a Turkish philologist, professor, writer and publisher of Tatar descent. He is considered to be the founder of philology in Turkey and a specialist of Old Uyghur language. Biography Ğäbderräşit Räxmätullin (later ''Reşit Rahmeti Arat''), son of Ğismätulla, was born in İske Öcem, a village located approximately 50 km northwest of Kazan. Yeşim Arat (born September 5, 1955), is a Turkish political scientist and author specialized in gender politics, Turkish politics, women in Turkish politics, and women's movements in Turkey. She is a professor in the department of political science and international relations at Boğaziçi University. Early life and education Yeşim Arat was born on September 5, 1995. She completed a B.A. in political science and economics at Yale University in 1978. Arat earned a M.A. (1980) and Ph.D. (1983) in the department of politics at Princeton University. Arat Dink (born 1979) is a Turkish journalist and the executive editor of ''Agos'', a bilingual Turkish-Armenian weekly newspaper published in Istanbul. He is the son of Rakel Dink and Hrant Dink, the former editor-in-chief of the same paper, who was murdered by Ogün Samast, a Turkish ultra-nationalist who was seventeen years old at the time.
