Arana Hills is a suburb in the Moreton Bay Region, Queensland, Australia. In the , Arana Hills had a population of 6,810 people. Geography Arana Hill is located north-west of Brisbane, the capital city of Queensland and on the edge of the Bunyaville Forest Reserve. Informally it is part of the Hills District. History Pine Community School opened in Arana Hills on 24 January 1983. In 2008, Arana Hills was affected by severe thunderstorms that also affected many properties in northern Brisbane, causing millions of dollars of damage. Many volunteers and SES crews were needed to help clean up the damage. The area has now returned to its original state, but with the loss of some trees. Arana–Lepredour Treaty
In the late 1840s, Argentina attempted to regulate traffic on the Paraná and Uruguay rivers, which impacted upon Anglo-French trade with the landlocked Paraguay. As a result, Great Britain and France intervened militarily in the Anglo-French blockade of the Río de la Plata. Although militarily successful, the victories against Argentine forces proved somewhat pyrrhic and both withdrew forces following treaties concluded with Argentina. The peace treaty with France is referred to as the Arana–Le Prédour Treaty. Background France and Britain imposed a five-year-long naval blockade on the Argentine Confederation ruled by Juan Manuel de Rosas. Arana Taumata (born 15 April 1989) is a New Zealand rugby league footballer, primarily in the position. Background Taumata was born in Wellington, New Zealand to Māori parents. He has four brothers and three sisters. Playing career Originally from Wellington, Taumata of Māori descent was brought to Australia as a 15-year-old to join the Brisbane Broncos. Roberto Gaspar Vásquez Ramírez (born Aug 11, 1984) is a Mexican American professional boxer who held the WBA light flyweight title from 2005 to 2006. Arana College is a residential college of the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand, founded in 1943 by the Rev. The Sierra Arana or Sierra de Arana, also known as Sierra Harana, is a mountain range in the center of the province of Granada, southern Spain. Its highest peak is the Peña de la Cruz, at .
