Araldo Cossutta
Araldo Cossutta (January 11, 1925 – February 24, 2017) was an architect who worked primarily in the United States. He worked at the firm I. M. Pei & Partners from 1956 to 1973. I. M. Pei has been among the most honored architects in the world. Cossutta was Pei's associate and ultimately his partner in the first phase of Pei's career. He was responsible for some of the firm's best-known designs from that era, including three that have received "landmark" designations in recent years. In 1973 he and Vincent Ponte left Pei's firm to form Cossutta & Ponte, which ultimately became Cossutta and Associates. The new firm designed the Credit Lyonnais Tower in Lyon, France (1977) and the Tower at Cityplace (1988) in Dallas, Texas, among other commissions. Araldo Di Crollalanza
Araldo di Crollalanza (1892–1986) was an Italian journalist and politician who held significant posts in Fascist Italy. He was the minister of public works between 1930 and 1935 and a long-term member of the Italian Senate. Biography Di Crollalanza was born in Bari on 19 May 1892. He contributed to the newspapers, including ''Il Corriere delle Puglie'', ''La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno'' and ''Il Popolo d'Italia''. He fought in World War I and in 1919 established the National Combatants Association of Bari. On 23 March of that year Benito Mussolini appointed him as regional political secretary of the Fascist organization of Apulia and Lucania. Di Crollalanza joined the National Fascist Party (PNF) in an early age. In 1922 he took part in the march on Rome and in 1924 he was elected deputy from the PNF. Araldo (12 March 2008 – 4 November 2014) was a British-born Thoroughbred racehorse. He was trained by Michael Moroney and owned by R & C Legh Racing Pty Ltd. In 2013, Araldo won The Bart Cummings, a Victoria Racing Club race held at the Flemington Racecourse Flemington Racecourse is a major horse racing venue located in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It is most notable for hosting the Melbourne Cup, which is the world's richest handicap and the world's richest 3200-metre horse race. The racecou .... Araldo also raced at the 2014 Melbourne Cup, 154th Melbourne Cup on 4 November 2014, finishing 7th with jockey Dwayne Dunn.
