The Marine Aquarium of Rio de Janeiro ( pt, Aquário Marinho do Rio de Janeiro, italic=no), or AquaRio, is a public aquarium located in the Gamboa neighborhood, in the port zone of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Aquário de São Paulo (ASP), São Paulo Aquarium in English, is an oceanarium located in the district of Ipiranga, southeastern part of the city of São Paulo, Brazil. It was inaugurated on July 6, 2006, as the first thematic aquarium in Latin America. The sand tiger shark (''Carcharias taurus''), gray nurse shark, spotted ragged-tooth shark or blue-nurse sand tiger, is a species of shark that inhabits subtropical and temperate waters worldwide.
