Aqil Agha
Aqil Agha al-Hasi ( ar, عقيل آغا الحاسي, given name also spelled ''Aqil'', ''Aqila'', ''Akil'' or ''Akili''; military title sometimes spelled ''Aga'') (died 1870) was the strongman of northern Palestine in the mid-19th century, during Ottoman rule. He was originally a commander of Arab irregular soldiers, known as the Hawwara tribe, in the service of the Ottoman governors of Acre. His influence in the Galilee grew as he strengthened his alliances with the powerful Beni Sakhr and Anizzah tribes of Transjordan, and recruited unemployed Bedouin irregulars from Egypt into his own band of irregulars, who thenceforth became known as the Hanadi tribe. Mirza Aqil Hussain Barlas (29 July 1927 – 21 December 1989) was a lawyer and diplomat, known for his translations from Persian. He was in charge of the Egyptian Embassy in New Delhi India. Background Nawab Mirza Aqil Hussain Barlas was a direct descendant of Qasim Jan, Nawab Qasim Jan, the eponym of Gali Qasim Jan and Qasim Khani Mosque in Ballimaran, New Delhi. His father was Nawab Shakir Hussain Barlas, a barrister from Oxford University, England, and his mother was Bibi Mehmooda Begum, the sister of Ikbal Ali Shah, Sirdar Ikbal Ali Shah. Agil Mammadov (born 1 May 1989 in Nakhchivan) is an Azerbaijani professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Neftchi Baku in the Azerbaijan Premier League. Muchamad Aqil Savik (born 17 January 1999 in Bandung) is an Indonesian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Liga 1 club Bhayangkara. Club career Persib Bandung Savik went through the youth system of his hometown club Persib Bandung before joining the senior squad in 2018. He professionally debuted in the 2019 Liga 1 season. Ibn Aqil
Abu al-Wafa Ali Ibn Aqil ibn Ahmad al-Baghdadi (1040–1119) was an Islamic theologian from Baghdad, Iraq. He was trained in the tenets of the Hanbali school (''madhab'') for eleven years under scholars such as the Qadi Abu Ya'la. Despite this, Ibn Aqil was forced into hiding by the Hanbalis for frequenting the circles of groups who were at odds with the Hanbali tradition. In one of his reminiscences, he remarks that his Hanbali companions wanted him to abandon the company of certain scholars, and complains that it hindered him from acquiring useful knowledge.
