Apple Valley is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Burleigh County, North Dakota, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. The CDP is in southwestern Burleigh County, in the southeast part of Gibbs Township. It is on the south side of County Highway 10 (former U.S. Route 10), east of Bismarck, the state capital. The CDP is on the north side of the valley of Apple Creek, a southwest-flowing tributary of the Missouri River. The Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) is a database of name and locative information about more than two million physical and cultural features throughout the United States and its territories, Antarctica, and the associated states of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, and Palau. Legacy was founded following a $55 million bond approval in 2012, with students attending classes at other locations run by Bismarck Public Schools while the campus was under construction.
