''Apoyando La Demencia'' (''Supporting Dementia'') is a demo released by Chilean rock band, Sinergia, in 1998. The first half of the demo was recorded in 20 hours on Konstantinopla's Recording Studio after winning Radio Tierra's rock band contest. In 1998 they recorded the rest and finally edited and finished the demo. This demo was released independently by Sinergia, with their best songs that they have written so far, and a cover of Soda Stereo from their "Canción Animal" album, the song "En El Séptimo Día". The songs "Chupatrón" and "Santiago U.S.A.", also appear in the debut album of the band. Sinergia
Sinergia (Spanish for ''Synergy'') is a Chilean band that plays experimental rock with influences from alternative metal, a style that themselves define as "birdy metal" by the incorporation of "pajaronas" (birdy) lyrics; which is Chilean slang referring to people that are a bit vague or slow to understand. Sinergia mixes a strong rock sound with an electronic bass, funk bass lines, and special sounds for each song. The band is known for mixing genres into unusual combinations. For example, ''Jefe'' contains elements of both ska and alternative metal. Gustavo Cerati
Gustavo Adrián Cerati (11 August 1959 – 4 September 2014) was an Argentine singer-songwriter, composer and producer, considered one of the most important and influential figures of Ibero-American rock. Cerati along with his band Soda Stereo, were one of the most popular and influential rock and pop groups of the 1980s and 1990s. Cerati was the recipient of many awards throughout his career including various Grammys, MTV awards, as well as the MTV (Latin America) Legend Award with Soda Stereo, the first of its kind. On 15 May 2010, Cerati suffered a massive brain stroke in Caracas following a concert; the stroke left him in a coma, and four years later, on 4 September 2014, Cerati died of cardiac arrest in Buenos Aires aged 55. Jazz fusion (also known as fusion and progressive jazz) is a music genre that developed in the late 1960s when musicians combined jazz harmony and jazz improvisation, improvisation with rock music, funk, and rhythm and blues.
