Hans Erich Apostel
Hans Erich Apostel (22 January 1901 – 30 November 1972) was a German-born Austrian composer of classical music. Life and career Hans Erich Apostel was born on 22 January 1901 in Karlsruhe, Germany. He studied at the Munz Conservatory in his native city from 1915 to 1919. There he was a pupil Alfred Lorenz who taught him piano, music theory, and conducting. In 1920 he was and at the Badisches Landestheater in Karlsruhe. He studied in Vienna with Arnold Schoenberg from 1921 to 1925, and from 1925 to 1935 with Alban Berg, two prominent members of the Second Viennese School. At the same time, he taught piano, composition and music theory privately. Some of his compositions demonstrate his particular affinity with expressionist painting—he was friends with Emil Nolde, Oskar Kokoschka and Alfred Kubin. Henryk Paweł Apostel (born 29 January 1941) is a Polish former professional football manager and player. He played for Polonia Bytom, Legia Warsaw, Chicago Eagles, Śląsk Wrocław and Polonia Warsaw. He capped once for Poland. He managed Pogoń Siedlce, Poland U18, Poland U21, Śląsk Wrocław, Lech Poznań, Chicago Eagles, Górnik Zabrze, Poland, Wisła Kraków, Sur SC and KSZO Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski. Leo Apostel
Leo Apostel (Antwerp, 4 September 1925 – Ghent, 10 August 1995) was a Belgian philosopher and professor at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Ghent University. Apostel was an advocate of interdisciplinary research and the bridging of the gap between exact science and humanities. Biography Leo Apostel was born Antwerp, Belgium, in 1925. After the second World War he studied philosophy at the ULB in Brussels with philosopher of law and logician Chaïm Perelman. He got his M.A. at the ULB in Brussels in October 1948 with the thesis ''Questions sur l'Introspection''. For another year he stayed there working as an assistant of Perelman. In 1950-1951 Apostel was a CRB fellow at the University of Chicago with Rudolf Carnap, and with Carl Hempel at Yale University. He took his Ph.D. at the ULB in March 1953 with the dissertation "La Loi et les Causes".
