''Apocalypso'' was released in 2011, although it was recorded in 1981 and intended to be the third studio album by the band The Motels. Development ''Apocalypso'' was recorded between April and August 1981, but was rejected by the Capitol Records promotions department. The re-worked and released album was titled '' All Four One''. ''Apocalypso'' remained unreleased until 2011. The album was awarded the best re-issue award by the Independent Music Awards. ''Apocalypso'' is the second studio album by Australian electronic dance music duo The Presets. The album was released by record label Modular on 12 April 2008 in Australia, on 13 May in the United States, and 2 June in the United Kingdom. The album features the singles " My People", " This Boy's in Love", " Talk Like That", " Yippiyo-Ay", " If I Know You" and "Kicking and Screaming". At the J Awards of 2008, the album won Australian Album of the Year. Production After two years of non-stop touring, The Presets began production of ''Apocalypso'' in early 2007 by going to a farm in Byron Bay for two weeks. Dave Weckl (born January 8, 1960 in St. Louis, Missouri) is an American jazz fusion drummer and the leader of the Dave Weckl Band. He was inducted into the ''Modern Drummer'' Hall of Fame in 2000. Biography Weckl started playing his first set of drums at age 8 in his spare room along to records. He later played in the living room, sometimes with his father on piano. Weckl studied at the University of Bridgeport. Starting out on the New York fusion scene in the early 1980s, Weckl soon began working with artists such as Paul Simon, George Benson, Michel Camilo, Robert Plant, and Anthony Jackson. He was with the Chick Corea Elektric Band from 1985 to 1991. During this time he performed on many albums and also appeared with Corea's Akoustic Band. He began his professional music career at the age of 19 as the youngest member of Maynard Ferguson's band. The Monochrome Set are an English post-punk/ new wave band, originally formed in London in January 1978. The most recent line-up consists of Bid, Andy Warren, Athen Ayren and Stephen Gilchrist. Singing Fools was a short-lived Canadian non-performing musical group based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, composed of musicians Tim Dunlop and Kevin Murphy. The pair wrote and recorded hip hop-style songs with politically focused lyrics. History The Singing Fools came together in November 1982.
