Apocalypse Dudes
''Apocalypse Dudes'' is the fourth album by the Norwegian band Turbonegro. It is the first studio album with Euroboy as the lead guitarist and the last before the band disbanded in December 1998. Released in early 1998 in Norway and Germany, the album was a huge success for the then underground band. Adapting a more glam rock-oriented sound, ''Apocalypse Dudes'' set the standard for future Turbonegro records and became the first part of the ''Apocalypse trilogy'', consisting of ''Apocalypse Dudes'' (1998), ''Scandinavian Leather'' (2003) and '' Party Animals'' (2005). Production Following the addition of Euroboy and the drummer Chris Summers, Turbonegro had adapted a new sound with the release of their "Prince of the Rodeo" single, gradually moving from punk rock to glam rock. Suffragette City
"Suffragette City" is a song by English singer-songwriter David Bowie. It was originally released in April 1972 as the B-side of the single "Starman" and subsequently appeared on his fifth studio album ''The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars'' (1972). The song was later reissued as a single in 1976, with the US single edit of "Stay" as the B-side, to promote the compilation album ''Changesonebowie'' in the UK. Co-produced by Bowie and Ken Scott, it was recorded by Bowie at Trident Studios in London with his backing band the Spiders from Mars, consisting of Mick Ronson, Trevor Bolder and Mick Woodmansey, at a late stage of the album's sessions. Chris Summers (born 7 November 1974) is mostly known for his work with the Norwegian deathpunk band Turbonegro (in Norwegian: Turboneger), where he played the drums from 1998 to 2008. Engen has also played with the Norwegian band BigBang. ''Party Animals'' is an album by the Norwegian rock band Turbonegro, released in April 2005 in Norway and May 2005 in the rest of Europe. It is the final album in the "Apocalypse trilogy". It was released on Burning Heart Records in Sweden, on Bitzcore Records in Germany, and on 23 August 2005 via Abacus Recordings in the United States. Burning Heart Records also released a version with bonus DVD. It comes with a cardboard sleeve around the jewel-cased CD/DVD. The bonus DVD contains the Hank von Helvete workout video. Overview ''Party Animals'' is the first Turbonegro album where the band collaborated an external producer. ''Scandinavian Leather'' is an album by the Norwegian band Turbonegro that followed the band's reunion in 2002 and was released in April 2003 on Burning Heart Records in Sweden, on Bitzcore Records in Germany, on JVC/Victor Records in Japan, and on 6 May 2003 on Epitaph Records in the United States. Music and lyrics With ''Scandinavian Leather'' Turbonegro returned to a more rock style, continuing that found on ''Apocalypse Dudes'' with a development of the 'deathpunk' sound. Knut Schreiner
Knut Schreiner (born 18 December 1974 in Bergen, Norway), is a Norwegian singer, musician and producer currently residing in Oslo. Also known by his stage name Euroboy, he has been part of important Norwegian bands like Kåre and The Cavemen known in its last years as Euroboys, with Turbonegro known in Norway as Turboneger, in the musical project Black Diamond Brigade and recently is a member of Mirror Lakes. He has also been in other musical projects and produced other bands, notably Euroboys, Amulet and The Lovethugs. As Euroboy Knut Schreiner himself took the stage name Euroboy at the time and was widely known by that moniker. As Euroboy, Schreiner usually appeared on stage in an all black attire, sporting a Schutz-Staffel Totenkopf officer's hat. His style of playing was strongly influenced by James Williamson of the Stooges from 1971 to 1974. He was also influenced by Ace Frehley of KISS and Angus Young of AC/DC.
