Apex AP-0
The Apex AP-0 is a all-electric concept sports car announced in 2020 by the British/Hong Kong sportscar company Apex Motors, and it went for production in late 2022 with deliveries expected in Mid 2023. The AP-0 has a claimed top speed of and acceleration from 0-60 mph in 2.3 seconds. It is powered by a 650 bhp rear-mounted electric motor with 580 Nm of torque and a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery. Designed by Guy Colborne, the AP-0 has a claimed kerb weight of 1200 kg due to the AP-0's monocoque carbon chassis, with modular spaceframe and a central spine. A concept car (also known as a concept vehicle, show vehicle or prototype) is a car made to showcase new styling and/or new technology. They are often exhibited at motor shows to gauge customer reaction to new and radical designs which may or may not be mass-produced. Apex Motors is a Hong Kong and British-based car company founded by Hong Kong/Australian brothers Jason and Gary Leung in 2018 and evolved from the Elemental RP-1. The McLaren F1 LM is a track oriented iteration of the McLaren F1 built to honour the five McLaren F1 GTRs that competed and finished the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans in first, third, fourth, fifth and thirteenth places overall.
