Apdaly Lopez
Carlos "Apdaly" Lopez (born December 2, 1994) is an off-road racing driver from Tecate, Baja California. Lopez won the gold medal in the Stadium Super Trucks class at the X Games Austin 2014. His father, Juan Carlos Lopez, is also a professional off-road racer. Career history Lopez made his debut in the SCORE International championship at the 2011 Baja 250. He won the ATVPRO 25 class with co-drivers Ivan Mejorado and Gilberto Perez in a Honda TRX450. Lopez competed in the newly-formed Stadium Super Trucks Super Buggy championship in 2013. At the Qualcomm Stadium Lopez won two races. He also competed in the main series at St. Louis and Costa Mesa. At St. Louis the Mexican driver finished fourth. The Stadium Super Trucks (SST), formerly known as Speed Energy Formula Off-Road, is an American short course off-road racing series created by off-road racer and former IndyCar and NASCAR driver Robby Gordon in 2013. Sanctioned by the United States Auto Club (USAC) in America with title sponsorship from Gordon's Speed Energy brand, the series utilizes identical off-road trucks that originally competed primarily in American football stadiums, but in 2014 began racing mostly on street circuits and road courses, often in conjunction with the IndyCar Series race schedules. The 2014 Grand Prix of Indianapolis, the inaugural running of the event, was an IndyCar Series race held on May 10, 2014, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. SCORE Trophy Truck
A trophy truck, also known as a Baja truck or trick truck, is a vehicle used in high-speed off-road racing. This is an open production class and all components are considered legal unless specifically restricted. Although any truck that meets the safety standards can race the trophy truck class, they, for the most part, feature long travel suspensions and high power engines. They are intended for desert racing only, and are not street legal. These vehicles are properly known as "trophy trucks" when raced in SCORE International sanctioned races, and "trick trucks" when raced in Best in the Desert sanctioned races. Haskell Clyde Stacy (August 11, 1936 – November 6, 2013) was an American rockabilly singer and guitarist who recorded in the 1950s as the leader of Clyde Stacy & The Nitecaps. He is credited as a founder of the "Tulsa Sound". Biography Stacy was born in Eufaula, Oklahoma, on a farm near Checotah, Oklahoma. San Felipe 250
The SCORE San Felipe 250 is a 250-mile Mexican off-road motorsport race that takes place near San Felipe on the Baja California Peninsula. It was first held in 1982 and is sanctioned by SCORE International. The 2016 edition was the 30th anniversary of the race, occurring from February 25–28 in a loop format. The 2016 SCORE San Felipe 250 was the first round of a four-race series, including the SCORE Desert Challenge, the SCORE Baja 500 & the SCORE Baja 1000. Gilberto Perez (1943 – January 6, 2015) was an American Professor of Film Studies. Perez grew up in Havana, Cuba, where he was exposed to an eclectic international mix of films. He is the son of Federico Gilberto Pérez y Castillo (1911-1967) and Edenia Mercedes Guillermo y Marrero (1925-2002). He came to the United States in the early 1960s to study engineering. As an undergraduate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, he became interested in theoretical physics.
