Luis Ernesto Aparicio Montiel (born April 29, 1934), nicknamed "Little Louie", is a Venezuelan former professional baseball player. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a shortstop from 1956 to 1973 for three American League (AL) teams, most prominently the Chicago White Sox. During his ten seasons with the team, he became known for his exceptional defensive and base stealing skills. A 10-time All-Star,, he made an immediate impact with the team, winning the Rookie of the Year Award in 1956 after leading the league in stolen bases and leading AL shortstops in putouts and assists; he was the first Latin American player to win the award. Julio Aparicio Díaz (born 1969), also known as Julito Aparicio, is a Spanish bullfighter from Seville. Aparicio made his public début in bullfighting at the age of fourteen in 1984. He was confirmed as a torero, or matador, in 1994. Early life Aparicio was born on 4 January 1969 in Seville, Spain, and is the son of Julio Aparicio Martínez, who was a famous torero in the 1950s and 1960s and the grandson of Julio Aparicio Nieto, who was also involved in bullfighting. Carlos Aparicio Vedia (born 16 January 1982) is a Bolivian diplomat, lawyer, and politician serving as ambassador of Bolivia to Peru since 2021. Aparicio studied law at the University of San Francisco Xavier, during which time he became an adherent of Trotskyist political theory, leading him to join the emerging Movement for Socialism. He served as president of the party's departmental youth wing and participated in its successful 2005 general election campaign. Aparicio Saravia da Rosa (August 16, 1856 – September 10, 1904) was a Uruguayan politician and military leader. He was a member of the Uruguayan National Party and was a revolutionary leader against the Uruguayan government. Huáscar Aparicio Gonzales (June 1, 1972, in Sucre – June 21, 2013, in Tomina) was a Bolivian folk singer. Biography During his childhood he lived a long time in Tarija, where he finished his schooling at the historical and prestigious Colegio San Luis. Biography He was born in Alicante, the seventh of eight children in a middle-class family. His first artistic studies were at the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Carlos de Valencia, where he won first prize for painting in 1793. Severo Aparicio Quispe
Severo Aparicio Quispe, O. de M., (October 8, 1923 – May 6, 2013) was a Peruvian friar of the Mercedarian Order who was made a bishop of the Catholic Church. He wrote a number of works on the history of the Catholic Church and of his Order in Peru. Life Aparicio was born in San Pedro de Lloc, Pacasmayo, and later entered the Mercedarian friars. He was ordained a priest on September 22, 1951. Aparicio was appointed an auxiliary bishop for the Archdiocese of Cuzco as well as titular bishop of Vegesela in Numidia on December 11, 1978. He was consecrated a bishop on March 4, 1979 by Cardinal Juan Landázuri Ricketts, O.F.M. Aparicio retired as an auxiliary bishop on April 10, 1999, upon reaching the mandatory retirement age of 75. He then took residence at the Mercedarian monastery in the city. He died on May 6, 2013, and was buried in the crypt of the cathedral. Aparicio Méndez Manfredini (24 August 1904 – 27 June 1988) was a Uruguayan lawyer and political. He was a de facto President of Uruguay from 1976–1981 as a non-democratically elected authority of the civic-military dictatorship. Background Born in the northern city of Rivera, Méndez was a member of the National Party, traditionally strong in the interior of the country whence he originated.
