History Working as a band in their own right they wrote and performed the song "le vent brulant" in 2001, which was used for some of the Japanese television coverage of the 2004 Formula-1 season. Mary Lou Lord (born March 1, 1965) is an indie folk musician who started performing as a busker in Boston. Life and career Mary Lou Lord first gained attention playing acoustic guitar and singing in and around Boston's subway stations, particularly on the Red Line, as noted by the name she chose for her music and lyric publishing company, On the Red Line Music, administered by BMI. Lord became friends with Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain in the fall of 1991, before the group's rise to mainstream fame; there has been much speculation about their relationship. In 2010, Lord published an explanation from her point of view. She met Elliott Smith through Slim Moon, the owner of Kill Rock Stars and her boyfriend at the time. Imogen Jennifer Heap (born 9 December 1977) is a British musician, singer, songwriter and record producer. Her work has been considered pioneering in pop and electropop music. Heap classically trained in piano, cello and clarinet starting at a young age. She began writing songs at the age of 13 and, while attending boarding school, taught herself music production. Satomi Misumi (born March 7, 1989) is a Japanese pop singer. She also goes under the names Satomi and Satton. In 2003, she began vocal and dance lessons simultaneously. She had her first live performance at 15 at the MIDEM 2005 International Music Conference where she was discovered by a sports magazine. She debuted in the United Kingdom in 2005 with the song "love shouts" under the hiptones label as the label's first featured artist. On October 24, 2006, Satomi released "Heartbreaker" single in the UK with simultaneous releases in the UK and Japan iTunes stores. The single reached the Top 10 in the R&B and comprehensive charts. Hitomi Yaida
is a Japanese pop/folk rock singer-songwriter and guitarist. She often goes by the nickname Yaiko. Her musical style is often called "heart rock" by her fans. Yaida is an established musical artist in Japan and has also had minor club hits in the United Kingdom.
