(Original description) The small, thin and fragile shell has a mitriform shape. it is white with a violet apex, finely spirally striated. The spiral below the suture is a little stronger than the others; frequent inequidistant faint growth periods form the only axial sculpture. Sea snail is a common name for slow-moving marine gastropod molluscs, usually with visible external shells, such as whelk or abalone.
