Anzac Railway Station
Anzac railway station (originally known by the working title of Domain) is a railway station currently under construction as part of the Metro Tunnel. The station is named for the nearby Shrine of Remembrance and in honour of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, Anzac spirit of service and sacrifice. It is being built using the Tunnel#Cut-and-cover, cut-and-cover method. Construction on the station commenced in 2018 and is expected to open in 2025. Location Anzac station is being built below St Kilda Road in the suburb of South Yarra, and is planned to feature four entrances. Anzac Precinct The station will also feature the first platform-to-platform connection between trains and trams in Melbourne, as half of all passengers are expected to interchange between the two modes of transport. Public Transport Victoria
Public Transport Victoria (PTV) is the brand name for public transport in the Australian state of Victoria, Australia, Victoria. It was the trading name of the Go Public Transport Development Authority (PTDA), a now-defunct statutory authority in Victoria, responsible for providing, coordinating, and promoting public transport. The PTV began operating on 2 April 2012, taking over many of the responsibilities previously exercised by the Director of Public Transport and the Department of Transport (Victoria, 2008–13), Department of Transport. It also took over the marketing of public transport in Victoria from Metlink and Metlink#Viclink, Viclink, as well as responsibility for the myki ticketing system, formerly handled by the Transport Ticketing Authority. PTV's functions were transferred to the Department of Transport (Victoria), Department of Transport on 1 July 2019.
