Any Given Sundance
"Any Given Sundance" (a play on the title of the film ''Any Given Sunday'', but otherwise unrelated) is the eighteenth episode of the nineteenth season of the American animated television series ''The Simpsons''. It originally aired on the Fox network in the United States on May 4, 2008. It guest-starred Jim Jarmusch and John C. Reilly as themselves. After Lisa enters a film about her family into the Sundance Film Festival, Homer, Marge, and Bart, and Maggie are appalled by the candid behind-the scenes look at their family. Meanwhile, Principal Skinner and Superintendent Chalmers decide to enter the movie business. Plot The Simpson family heads to a tailgate party, and while Homer and Bart steal other tailgaters' food, Lisa busies herself by filming the events for a school project, and notices life in its own perspective. Chuck Sheetz
Chuck Sheetz is an American director, animator, animation director, educator, and producer. He is best known for his work on ''The Simpsons,'' ''What's New, Scooby-Doo?'', and ''Recess (TV series), Recess''. Early life Sheetz grew up outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He moved to Los Angeles at age 19 to attend the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. Sheetz's career in animation started in 1980 with the creation of his short film, "Wild Times in the Wildwood". He later received a Master's of Fine Art from the UCLA Animation Workshop. Career Sheetz began working as an animation timer, and later an assistant director, on ''The Simpsons.'' The Sundance Film Festival (formerly Utah/US Film Festival, then US Film and Video Festival) is an annual film festival organized by the Sundance Institute. A tailgate party is a social event held on and around the open tailgate of a vehicle. Margaret Evelyn Lenny "Maggie" Simpson is a fictional character in the animated television series ''The Simpsons'' and a part of the Simpson family, notably the youngest member. She first appeared on television in the '' Tracey Ullman Show'' short " Good Night" on April 19, 1987.
