Anwar Ul Alam
Anwar Ul Alam Shaheed was a colonel of the Bangladesh Army, secretary in the ministry of foreign affairs, diplomat, and ambassador of Bangladesh to Span and Bahrain. He had served in the Kaderia Bahini and Jatiya Rakkhi Bahini. Early life Shaheed was born in 1947 in Thanapara, Tangail District, East Bengal, British India. His father was Moulvi Abdur Rahim Ichhapuri, an Islamic scholar, and his mother was Begum Eid Un Nesa. Shaheed was involved with student politics since 1962 and president of Tangail District unit of the Chhatra League. He graduated from Bindubhashini High School. Shaheed was elected general secretary of the student union at Salimullah Muslim Hall. Career During the Bangladesh Liberation War, Shaheed served in the Kader Bahini, commanded by Abdul Kader Siddiqui, as head of the civilian unit and deputy commander. Tangail District
Tangail ( bn, টাঙ্গাইল জেলা) formerly a small Mohokuma of Greater Mymensingh district is a district (''zila'') in the central region of Bangladesh. In 1969, Tangail district was created by Tangail Mohokuma from its 237 square kilometers of its land and 3177 square kilometers of land from Mymensingh district. It is the largest district of Dhaka division by area and second largest by population (after Dhaka district). The population of Tangail zila is about 3.8 million and its area is . Khalilur Rahman was a Bangladesh Army General and former Director General of Bangladesh Rifles and for Chief of Defence staff. Career He had started his career by joining the Pakistan Army. Khondaker Mostaq Ahmad (also spelled Khandakar Mushtaq Ahmed; – 5 March 1996) was a Bangladeshi politician. He was the President of Bangladesh from 15 August to 6 November 1975, after the assassination of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
